No sales...where did all the buyers go??

Hi everyone, I love ebay, been selling for 11 years. It has been scary slow lately! I was doing pretty good, but all of a sudden, no sales since April 25! This never  happened  before. I even called CS, nothing against my account. I continue to list, pray, and hope for the best! Anyone else slow down?

It might be that all the additional listings for store subscribers (a premium store went from 1000 listings a month to 10,000) have "diluted" the market.

Federal taxes are due in 9 days.  Usually tax time is slow.

My sales are down almost 75% from last year.  I sell all industrial components and machinery and things were really popping until about mid-April.  Had a couple of sales yesterday but nothing as robust as it was.

It was a little slow right around the timing of the Spring Seller update/roll-out.

Our sales are heading back to about what we would normally see.  Likely so many factors right now - school year ending so folks are saving up for vacations, graduations, always seems to be a lot of May/June weddings...and of course, taxes are due next week to the IRS.  

Maybe use this time to list, list, list.....when we do that it seems to shake some sales loose, etc.  Good luck & hang in there!

I agree, visits have really slowed down. I’ve run into several that bid, win, then don’t pay. I think everyone is leaving a sinking ship. I hate the changes. Ebay is doing a lot for buyers and screwing the sellers so, after 12 years I am done.

very sad! I hate when I accept an offer right away, and the buyer never pays! I finally made 2 sales today. I really hope it picks up. Hang in there!

Yeah, it's because most sellers left due to the new eBay Managed Payments.  So buyers also left since their favorite sellers of rare and hard-to-find items are no longer on eBay.

No, blame eBay Managed Payments.  When the sellers left, so did their buyers.

How can any seller survive with the new eBay Managed Payments system?  They ran off all my favorite sellers, wanting all their personal info and bank account info.

The deadline for filing taxes was extended to May 15th this year.  I don't expect many sales until the end of the month.  Nothing is normal.  Just list list list.

Wasn't the TAX deadline moved to May 15th?  I would guess that has more to do with a temporary drop in sales than anything else.

I know, I hate the managed payment idea. I liked Pay Pal better. But ,it is what it is.  Besides other selling venues are doing the same.
