I used to (maybe a year ago or so) get an email from eBay notifying me that the buyer made a payment, and also another email from Paypal.
Now it's been a while but I noticed that I don't get such emails anymore. Since there is no Paypal then there is no email from Paypal. It's hard for me for know when a buyer has paid and hence potentially delay the handling part.
My Communication Preferences has not been changed and I looked there and didn't see anything related to this email comminucation.
Any idea? Did I miss something? Thank you!

I'm in the same boat. I have all my notifications on (item sold, item didn't sell, payments, etc) and I NEVER receive an email about any of it. I have to login and check my account each day to look for activity...
I do get marketing emails and messages about "Are you still interested in <so and so>" (things I looked at to possibly bid/purchase), so some are coming through. They're not in my spam folder either.

You should never rely on an email to determine if you have been paid; check your Seller Hub orders page directly. It is too easy for an email to get filtered out or lost, or for an email to be faked by a scammer.
Check your email account to make sure such emails are not being filtered somehow.
If you use the eBay app, there are notifications for various buying and selling activities that can be useful, but you should still check your selling pages directly at least once per day.

I was thinking the OP was referring to just getting a notification in general, like I would like to. Of course we shouldn't rely on them to be necessarily always truthful, but a heads-up that something sold or someone paid would be nice. It would prompt us to go to our Sellers page to follow-up.

I agree that a reliable email would be useful. But that does not appear to be an option.
If notices are not appearing, there must be a plan in place that does not rely on an email notice, such as using the eBay app to receive a message when an item sells.

That's weird. Are the emails going to junk? I get emails and every I-pad in the house has the cash register sound going off. It sounds like an old time dime store when things are going well.

Mine are gone lately, too. I had a sale on 1/23... no eBay message, no email. I found it under my Orders tab the next day, though. Also, no notification in the app, and my dime store 'Sale' sound has been gone from my app for months.
Like Charlie Brown, "I got a rock."

I wouldn't be happy about that. I am always looking, but the sounds are good for my enthusiasm and general well being. 🙂

Yeah I get those "are you still interested in blah blah" emails as well, but they are much less useful at this moment.

I think it makes sense to people who use eBay actively, the way in which some people log in Facebook or Instagram daily. But for me email would be the best communication means since I'm not an active eBay user, or seller at least.
But it looks like I don't have an option but to use the eBay app for now. Sigh. I don't want to miss out the shipping preparation if someone uses buy-it-now and I didn't get any notifications about the payment.

No, eBay emails never get into the spam folder. I still receive marketing emails or member message emails and such.

No notification in the app either? Geez, I was about to install and use the app.
I guess I'll have to manually check email website or the app I guess.

Never, ever depend on receiving an email from anywhere for anything. Email has a lot of moving parts, one burp in any one of those parts and the email is delayed for minutes, days, weeks or it may be floating in cyberspace forever. If you're selling anywhere, log in at least once a day to check on things.

Are you not receiving ANY notifications for Sales (paid or not yet paid)?
Although perhaps 1 out of several hundred are never received by me for the other 99.9% I receive an email within a minute of a purchase and it's usually a notice of the sale AND payment. In a few cases buyers purchase but don't pay instantly, in that situation I still get the Item Sold email and then later a Payment Notification.
Are you sure your Communication Preferences are set correctly?
