No option for priority shipping express

So when I go to sell an item, and I go to shipping, there's an option for priority mail, but there is no option for priority mail express.  I have a flat rate, padded envelope that I have for shipping DVD's, but like I said, theres no option for this.  I went to the USPS website and I calculated shipping, just in case, to a town in my state, and a town on the other side of the country, and the shipping rate is the same, as can be expected for flate rate items.  It's about $25. Should I just select Charge Fixed Amount, and input the shipping cost, or what should I do? Should I just get a regular Priority Mail padded envelope?  I am very frustrated as I could not find an answer anywhere.

Re: No option for priority shipping express

You need to switch to the Advanced version of the listing form in order to choose the padded FRE or Priority Express.

The Quick version of the listing form has a very rudimentary and incomplete list of shipping options.

Re: No option for priority shipping express

I wouldn't recommend adding Priority Express to your shipping policies. I am facing a potential problem if it does not get delivered  tomorrow when the scheduled delivery was 12 noon last Saturday.

The Money Back Guarantee that comes with the USPS priority express is the problem if delivery is delayed and buyer complains about it.

I agree with the helpful posters who responded to me today. I had removed PM Express from my policies.

And most rural places are not guaranteed 1 day - it's usually 2 a day service.

Re: No option for priority shipping express

Yes, that's what I learned from another poster. It's an unnecessary waste of money when packages using First Class and Media Mail services (yes, Media Mail) that were shipped out same day and time had been delivered yesterday (holiday) and today from NV to FL, SD and TN.

To the OP, Priority Mail is sufficient. Do not invite problems with PM Express.

Re: No option for priority shipping express

Posted this on another board - seems appropriate here too:

https://postcalc.usps.com/ServiceCommitments

Plug in the origin and destination zips, and it'll tell you whether 1 or 2 day Priority Express is an option, and what your cutoff time is to get it to the PO, along with Priority, and other info. Should make it easier for telling a buyer whether or not you can make it happen.

Another semi useful link for a First Class Mail and Package Services service standards map is: https://ribbs.usps.gov/modernservicestandards/ssmaps/find_map.cfm
