As the title suggests. I found this (https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/Add-photos-from-mobile-device-on-ebay-website-no-longer-works/...) post from a couple of years back suggesting that this feature no longer worked, which was then helpfully closed by a moderator, but if it doesn't work why is it still available as a feature?

I managed to get this working, albeit I am not 100% certain which change rectified the issue. I made some changes to my account regarding its security settings.
I suspect it was the update of the password, thus forcing a mass sign-out and getting the devices to re-sign in again, that resolved the issue.
I now seem to get sign-in challenges numerous times within the browser, and for some reason, it is not adding the browser as a trusted device (even though I am asking it to do so). Still, I'm sure this is a simple fix

That function was deprecated years ago @swin70. You'll have to use another method, for example:
- Create draft on the app and upload photos from that device. Either complete the listing on the app or switch to a computer/website where you can access the draft and publish the listing.
- The reverse of previous suggestion: create listing on website then switch to app to upload images.
- Plug your mobile device into your computer and upload images to your computer. Create listings from start to finish on your computer.

In that case, does anyone then think it would it be helpful if they removed the option from within the web app when creating a listing on a PC? If it has been deprecated, why continue to show it an confuse people?

I'm not seeing the option on the listing tool @swin70. Are you able to post a screenshot?
Wait - never mind. For some reason it's not on my account but I am seeing it on GF's account. I guess the feature was not deprecated after all.
When you click on the import from mobile link, what happens @swin70? As long as you're signed in to the app and have app notifications turned on, it should send a notification to the app that you can click on.

Nothing, zip, nada, zero, zilch, nil, nought, scratch.....

Got it. In that case I would check your browser settings. Do you have things blocked like javascript or popups? Any browser add-ons?
GF tested it and had no problems - the function appears to be working, so if you click and literally nothing happens, the first place to look is at your browser.
Can you try using a different browser to see if that makes a difference?

I must admit, I did try a couple of laptops, albeit I think both were using Edge (which is still based on Chromium). Or do you mean something on the mobile device?

I mean try another browser on your laptop - for example, open the listing draft on Firefox and/or Chrome instead of Edge.
Also make sure you're signed in to your account on the app - although if you're not signed in on the app there should still be action when you click the link in the form of a pop-up that prompts you to scan a QR code and download the app.

Make sure you have notifications enabled in the eBay app. It might be an unstated requirement for this feature.
