I just listed a vintage item under the vintage, vintage accessories, shoe accessories category and noticed after the listing went up that I hadn't selected a condition. I went to revise the listing and noticed there is no option for me to choose the condition of the item. Is this normal for listings with "vintage" in the title or something? Under condition on my listing it just shows --

Correct my Vintage clothing items also when listing say
Condition is not applicable to this listing.
It has nothing to do with the title it has to do with the category
If you listed just under shoes & wrote vintage in the title you would have to select a condition

Condition isn't applicable in that category - but use your title to highlight the decade it was trending or if it's new so it will come up in a general search.

Morning, casey. When I list in Clothing, Vintage and know it doesn't have a condition requirement, I just create an Item Specific and add: "pre-owned." Whether it comes up in search in ebay, never tested it. But at least I know the buyer will see it if and when they find the listing lolol. I also detail a short cut description & condition in that condition block above the specifics. I am finding that condition block of information is what Google Shop is using to describe your item.

Imho ebay has totally dropped the ball on what categories they require a condition field.
But I guess they're more interested in the sellers & buyers of current tech than vintage clothing & pottery & glass (where condition ALSO rules the price).
Maybe it messes with their 'trending price' algorithms?

There is also no item condition for pottery & glass. There have been requests for what seems like eons to get that changed. Sellers absolutely should be disclosing if an item is chipped, has crazing, scratches, etc, and not state in generalities what flaws a preowned item "may" have.
