No Credit if you have to cancel an order???

Hi Community, I recently had to cancel an order because the item was broken.  I just looked and expected to see a credit for it but ebay did not give me credit.  Any suggestions?

Thanks.

How did you cancel the order?

If you filed the cancellation through ebay's Resolution Center, part of that process is to credit back the FVF that was charged.  If you cancelled by going to Paypal, locating the transaction, and refunding the buyer by selecting to Issue a Refund, ebay doesn't know you refunded the buyer.

What you can do now is file the cancellation through ebay's Resolution Center.  You will not be refunding twice if you issued the refund via Paypal.

I don't think Ebay refunds fees on cancellations for out of stock or broken.  I'd be more worried about the non-performance defect.
