New view page design

On desktop

I have been put back in the "experiment" of the view page design. None of the issues that were there months ago have been fixed.

The left side of the page and the right side are not synchronized when scrolling.

There are STILL 2 rows of other sellers' listings before you can see the item specifics and description.

The button to see the seller's store has been removed and moved all the way down to the area where the seller information is.

How is this a good buyer experience?

The left side of the page and the right side are not synchronized when scrolling.

Many websites have that type of dynamic scrolling these days. In some cases it's annoying, but in this case I think it's entirely appropriate. eBay is keeping the images 'pinned' in place while the buyer finishes scrolling down past the right column of payment and shipping info. The part I'd change is not the dynamic scrolling, but the length of the right column. They can move a few of those things over to the left under photos.

I agree that needs to change. All other listings should be below item description.

Click the seller's name on the top right and it'll take you straight to their store front. If you don't want to go to the store front then click to see seller's other listings on the top right and it will take you to their listings in general search view.

I am seeing listings presented both ways depending upon whether it is an older listing or a newly created one.

For the past 3 days when I checked my newly created listings for the first time they presented with two horizontal rows of sponsored ads above my description - or -  a square display of sponsored ads right under my item photo and to the left of my price and seller ID info.

On those listings presenting the square area of sponsored ads, additional sponsored ads appeared under my description - then my seller feedback info and links to my store under that.

Detest both of those as they confuse buyers and who Want and Need to read the item specifics and description before making a purchase.

I get it, eBay is all about pay to play these days. When checking those sponsored ads of items like mine they were all priced higher than mine plus buyer paid shipping cost. My listings include free shipping and are always lower priced than same or similar items, unless a seller is desperately trying to improve their sell through rate or feedback score by losing money on items.

On a brighter note, several of those same listings now appear to me (Chrome browser) with sponsored ads below my items specifics, description and feedback / store links.

I have to wonder if eBay is presenting differing page views depending upon listing category.

This is not my experience with the two-column design. When I click on the seller's name (in this case myself), it does not go to my store, it goes to the general search view. If I click on my seller name again from the general search page, then it goes to my storefront. Too much clicking IMO.

Oh, you're right - it's different from last I checked @mcdougle4248 .

What eBay should do is replace "Seller's other items" with "Visit seller's store" since clicking on the ID takes you to other items in search view so you currently have that hyperlink duplicated in the same section.

Yep, I agree.

It is too bad eBay does not seem to want feedback anymore on this new view item page design.

Actually it just depends on the web browser. Edge is showing the 'new way' with split screen, whether it be an old listing or brand new (I've checked numerous, including my own on a different computer not signed in and items I just listed vs. ones that have been up for 10 years, are ALL doing it.

On Goggle Chrome- the listings, old or new, are showing the 'old way'.
