New standard shipping envelope has tons of issues.

I've been using the new standard shipping envelopes for about a month. About half of the buyers contact me about where their cards are. The delivery times average out to about 2 weeks. Some have never been scanned at the distribution centers. Other have and still don't get delivered. I had 2 cases opened up against me from buyers. I currently ended all the rest of my listings that use the standard shipping envelope.

The buyers are upset and I don't blame them. Ebay jumped the gun on this and the Post Office went along with them. They are both at fault but as usual the sellers bear the burden. Some buyers think that they have never been mailed.

any way for people to give feedback on this new program........been several posts with problems.....I doubt CS is going to be able to understand the nuances?

The problem is, eBay didn't put a way for the USPS employees to scan the packages unless it gets put thru a machine which is a big no-no for sports cards. I tried telling the customer service rep but they hardly understood my problem being that they don't know anything about sports cards and they were foreign which American sports and sports cards aren't popular in their country and culture. The USPS employee tried scanning the QR code, the bar code, and tried typing in the tracking and all 3 times it said "invalid tracking". All eBay has to do is create a bar code and integrated it with USPS scanning system. If not they WILL lose millions of dollars in claims as their is no way to prove where the package is. This will also cost lots of sellers to receive bad feedback for eBay's flawed system set up. I hope for mine and everyone's sake they will get this fixed ASAP.

Which is precisely why I am waiting to see what would happen before I throw my baseball cards in the recycling bin.

Same problem.  I have a feeling not all post offices have the equipment to scan in the sorting machine.  I seem to receiving about 50% with this tracking but only about 5% of what I sell get actually tracked.   Killed my seller rating for last month.   Been fighting with Ebay to no avail.   Almost safer to send with a stamp.   I think everyone knows what are in the .51/.71/.91 envelopes and they are disappearing.  At least with the stamp it is a guess and not a guarantee.

Had one which tracking said on March 1 out for delivery. Its now March 20th and nothing. You can't cross reference the tracking number on USPS.com. Ebay needs to get on top of this quickly.
