New listing tool is removing all the formatting from my custom template in the description box!

Instead of ranting as I would like, I am just going to state the facts.  Since I was forced into adopting the new listing tool I have not been able to complete a listing without an issue.  Don't even get me started on all of the sub-menus that take like 4 times longer to use, that is another rant.  My big problem is that it is removing the formatting from my custom template in the description box.  It is a pretty basic template that I created probably 15 years ago, and have never had an issue.  Note:  I am using the SELL SIMILAR function.  When I start the listing, everything is OK with the formatting.  If I go into the description box to change the product information and then click on another option outside of the box, the formatting is gone.  If I click on the SEE MORE OPTIONS link above the box, the formatting is gone.  I have been able to replicated this several different ways.  Interesting that when I click to view the HTML, instead of the code being "formatted" like it always was, it is now just jumbled-up in one long "paragraph".  I even went all the way through the listing process to see if the loss of template formatting was something I was just seeing on my end... but it in the end the final product still had template formatting removed.

Anyone else having this problem?

Anyone find a way to stop this from happening?

Thanks for your input!

Yeah, my big gripe is that they block you from going into advanced formatting, every time.  "are you sure you want to add life to your listing so you can sell your items?"   YES, jesus man, it's like they don't want you to add color and change your font size.  What is the reasoning behind this??

They also took away colors from the available pallet, there is no more RED-RED.

23 years Ive supported ebay loyally buying and selling. Pretty much done now because of this

I used to complain about the archaic and cumbersome listing tool with its never ending scroll and tardy rejections for dumb omissions, like the package size when shipping free.  Hard to believe they could make it worse. Thank goodness there are other places to sell.

Specifically, Im used to composing in HTML then cut and pasting, while hosting my own pictures via links. I like my pictures embedded in the description a certain way.  They take away all the formatting and remove the link.  Grrrrrr.

I hate this new listing tool! It's a nightmare. I've lost all of the colors I used to use. I mean even the basic reds & blues are gone. These new colors offered are dull. I've always enjoyed using the nice colors EBAY used to offer.  Why must everything change? Why can't some things be left alone? This is causing a lot of negative issues for me.

Yeah, I am pretty P'd about the colors as well.  I am just the hex code right now to get the colors I want.  But, they should have never removed basic colors from the pallet.

One's "normal eyes" is drawn to a listing that is a bit different or jazzed up a touch. However you want to word it!! They've turned every new listing into something like where's waldo where every listing looks exactly the same. My eyes have a limited attention span. As do many others. Definitely not an improvement. But to remove RED which we have access to here but not on listings is baffling. It was used by MANY to highlight anything a buyer needed to see about a listing before hitting the purchase button.

And before the listing tool included the editor for cleaning up accidental html/websites. Hey, it happens when cut and paste are used. Not everyone is fluent in html. The new editor is extremely annoying to use. Lost track of the number of listings in progress that I have inadvertently corrupted while trying to use.

Lastly not everyone uses a smart device/app for shopping and/or listing. Some may just have no desire. They should not be punished for that choice.
