New active listing page layout is a disaster- all the filters now hidden in layers of dropdown boxes

I know many have been complaining here for months about this new design and i was hoping it would improve before my account was put into it.....but today it switched over and still has all the same deficiencies that you all have been pointing out for over a year.  It was so simple and obvious and easy to use before on a computer- now it only shows me 3-6 filters depending on which screen i am looking at and then has a "ALL FILTERS" button that bring up a popup of cascading options that require click after click to access- including a "see results" button.... as if clicking on the filter i wanted was not enough of a confirmation of my intent!

Dealing with what appears to be "grade school" level web design and programming is exhausting- this is a multi million dollar international company!- how are these designs ever making to programming?

Its such a joke- when you click on the "settings" icon in the search bar- a dropdown overlay shows the results in a TRANSPARENT box and the underlaying page text is still visible- making it impossible to even see the print- its just words stacked on top of words.

now it takes 3x longer for the pages to render the new filter information- lots of swirling icon as i wait for ebay servers to compute......somehow ebay though t it would be a good idea to hide all the pertinent info sellers use everyday, make it take longer to access the info, and then overwhelm the ebay servers to show that info? what am i missing here?

I agree completely. Why would changes be made to make it more frustrating for sellers?

I am lucky enough to work for a very small company where I have direct access to the developer. And I also use the custom software on a frequent basis. If major redesigns are made, they are made on a test server first. And then myself and other users can test and debug before it goes live. And any changes are made to make our lives easier not more complicated. That is how it should be done.

I encourage everyone to keep sending feedback to ebay because they won't read our comments on this forum.

I am not using MAC- i Use windows 10 & 11 depending o which computer i am using( or wife or son), all late model and fast (even a gaming computer), super fast fiber optic internet connection- we can stream 4 different 4k movies at a time with no issue.

That's weird, because I too have a Windows 11 gaming PC (just purchased this year, so brand new) with high-speed internet and the Listings page loads in 1-3 seconds for me.

I was messing around with SIO (seller initiated offers) just now and noticed this:

You can turn off the confirmation screen if you want to.

I can't even get the search bar to work!  I've tried it at least 15 times and it's only opened two times.  It SUCKS! as I use that function all the time.

Can you expand on that?

You're typing a term into the search box above your active listings in seller hub. You're hitting the enter/return key. Then what happens?

@gran

Can you give us a screen shot on what is happening to you when you do a search.  It would really help us to help you.

ACK! By reading here I figured out I now have to go to my store to get to Search for my items. Then why does it still show Search on the original page? And WHY the extra step?

EBay continues to amaze me with the crazy changes. Notice how I was "nice" and didn't say DUMB changes....

@wastingtime101  thanks for the tip- looks like they just added that feature-perfect. I just checked the box and now i can skip the "got it" confirmation page. great!   Now we need to have that feature on the phone app too please-

If you only want to search your items, it makes perfect sense that you would go to your Store and search your store or to your active listings in your Seller Hub and search there.

If you want to search all of Ebay, then it makes sense to search from the top of the page search box.

It all depends on the needs of your search.  It isn't complicated, it depends on what your needs are for whatever it is that you are searching for.

@gran  You do not have to go to your store to search your items.  You never have & you don't now.  You can do it from Seller Hub>Active for Active items.

Yes, someone from eBay mentioned it to me, but I hadn't tried it yet.   I didn't know if that was the right button b/c of the very odd wording (or my brain isn't working right) b/c I couldn't figure out what that verbiage was supposed to mean.  Thank you Wasting for pointing it out & Siam for LMK that it works!
