I know many have been complaining here for months about this new design and i was hoping it would improve before my account was put into it.....but today it switched over and still has all the same deficiencies that you all have been pointing out for over a year. It was so simple and obvious and easy to use before on a computer- now it only shows me 3-6 filters depending on which screen i am looking at and then has a "ALL FILTERS" button that bring up a popup of cascading options that require click after click to access- including a "see results" button.... as if clicking on the filter i wanted was not enough of a confirmation of my intent!
Dealing with what appears to be "grade school" level web design and programming is exhausting- this is a multi million dollar international company!- how are these designs ever making to programming?
Its such a joke- when you click on the "settings" icon in the search bar- a dropdown overlay shows the results in a TRANSPARENT box and the underlaying page text is still visible- making it impossible to even see the print- its just words stacked on top of words.
now it takes 3x longer for the pages to render the new filter information- lots of swirling icon as i wait for ebay servers to compute......somehow ebay though t it would be a good idea to hide all the pertinent info sellers use everyday, make it take longer to access the info, and then overwhelm the ebay servers to show that info? what am i missing here?

I just got switched over today. I work 95% of the time on desktop version. I only use a phone to upload photos. More clicks, hidden filters, inefficient. It was not broken and worked fine before. Desktop users use desktop for a reason. I do not want my ebay screens to look like the phone app. Please use the comment and feedback button on the active listing page to send ebay your feedback. Not an improvement to the seller experience.

100% not my computer or internet @stainlessenginecovers . I'm fairly tech savvy and already did a ton of diagnostics to rule out any kind of problem on my end. The problem is exclusive to the active listings page - no other page - and only started when eBay made this change.
I use a Mac, not a PC - maybe eBay has the performance optimized for PCs.

Must be, as I don't come here just to lie about things like this. 3 seconds tops for all 'filter' changes.
@siamjane8 are you also on a Mac??
Maybe we're getting somewhere?

Well that's 3 seconds of my life I won't get back. 🤣
The change isn't that big of a deal. It's like a lot of the changes around here, change for the sake of change with no real improvements.
I was used to seeing watcher and ending today numbers at a glance. Now I have go on a clicking spree to see it. I'll adapt.

I saw this and I'm not impressed.
Due to my various levels of OCD, I like it when things are a certain way and stay that way... I don't like change. I wish they'd stop changing things, it means I have to get used to a new way of doing stuff.

I don't have "Listing Activity" or "Ending Today".
Under "Filters" I have:
Categories
Offers
Promoted Listings
Price Range
Missing Information
Vehicle Compatibility
All my ad blocking is also turned off for the Ebay website.
This is kinda like having a tv with no buttons, everything is controlled by the remote, and then losing the remote.
I had thought they just got rid of showing the seller any indication of what was being watched.

@stainlessenginecovers @wastingtime101
I am not using MAC- i Use windows 10 & 11 depending o which computer i am using( or wife or son), all late model and fast (even a gaming computer), super fast fiber optic internet connection- we can stream 4 different 4k movies at a time with no issue.
Still the filter and search functions are slow on ebay- it is their programming and servers for sure- I think their programming is just cumbersome and bloated and not efficient or well designed. It used to work great years ago before they tried forcing all this mobile app computing on the website- it just does not work well because it was designed for a mobile platform.
Of course the bigger issues are user comfort and design. Now it physically takes longer to access the filters...... just a week ago they were all there in plain view and ONE CLICK to access. this new design is a time waster and annoying but hey what do I know?

@siamjane8 @wastingtime101 well then, I'm at a loss why you are having issues. I've never had issues and the site moves as it should for me.

I guess when you research and list 8-10 hours a day here / the small inconveniences and slowdowns have a larger effect on productivity. They just stand out more.
3 extra clicks to someone list 5 items a day is not the end of the world but when you are full time- it adds up to hundreds of extra clicks and wasted time resulting in less new listings possible......Thats why we used to have the professional listing tool and the easy tool- worked great...best of both worlds to work for each type of ebay customer, but unifying it into one tool has just proven to have so many sacrifices to productivity. It is what it is i guess

This issue started that it was SUPER slow, spinning wheels etc.
Now it's clicks?
Slow- something wrong on your end because it is not 1 second slower for me, as I stated.
Extra Clicks-reduce the size or use a larger screen.

Hi and you are not missing anything. I'm with you on Ebay's naive foolish changes. It all started this summer with the search engine issues and filters. We as sellers, to be competitive and to be on top of the current market value of items we were selling relied on this function. Well it just disappeared. Said something on this venue only to have someone who I graciously will not named replied dig deeper. My point then and now is buyers will not and have not taken the time to dig deeper. Ease is the keyword, it's old school but it worked. The new genius's in charge now have made it nearly impossible to easily find items. So now sales are down Duh. So to seem relevant the genius's have come up with these disgusting new ideas, for example when an item sells on your accepted offer that is less then your listing price Ebay keeps it listed till it's paid for in hopes of it selling for a higher price to get themselves more fees. Bottom line is lets work on simple old school ideas to make items more visual for buyers instead of concentrating on the making Ebay a cluster. Work on your categories. I have to my dismay, slowed way down on selling till we have a change in the way things are being run. Why pay fees for this service. Been around here since 98 and have always accepted needed change but this is now ridiculous. I so agree with you. I look at my sold items for tracking info and the pics and sold info is overlapped on my computer screen. I agree this is a third rate operation. I'm so thankful for my return buyers and followers but I'm sure Ebay will find a way to screw this up. I haven't had a new follower or buyer in months. Anyhow thanks for your voice, we hope they hear us soon.

You're 100% right! Cumulatively, these changes add up! Before they wreaked havoc with SIO's, it used to take my maybe 5 minutes to send out my offers. Now it takes about 1/2 an hour. I send a lot of offers, multiple times a day!
And for the 'you'll get used to it' crowd, no I won't b/c they didn't just bury the filters under menus, they REMOVED some of them. They REMOVED my most used filter (handling time), that I use hundreds of times over a winter & are not going to bring it back 😡
I'm reminded of when I was a new seller & I asked on here for people selling clothing if they closed every single button for pics. Somebody insulted me saying something to the affect of 'sheesh, you can't be bothered to take 5 extra seconds to button a button'. Moron. It's not about the 5 seconds, it's about the 5 seconds TIMES 600 pictures that I'm about to take.
But I digress, lots of extra clickage, TONS of extra unnecessary clickage & you're not missing anything & some of the filters are totally GONE & they made similar changes yet again to SIO's, where they had already slowed me down so bad & I now have a completely unnecessary screen that I MUST click on that says "GOT IT" after every single offer, which requires 3 more clicks & yes, of course I've 'got it', cuz that's what I told you to do LOL. It's simply a comfirmation screen that says that they did what they were told to do. It USED TO put you right back in the list on the next item, exactly where you would want to be for efficient processing! They've slowed down the process so much with all the extra clicks, it's ridiculous!

I agree. One of the things they removed that really bugs me is the search bar on the promotion/sale pages. How on earth are people supposed to find what they are looking for without a search bar??

@simply-the-best-for-you I agree with you 1000% on the offers- we dont need a confirmation page that we have to dismiss b4 moving on! its a waste of time and a serious annoyance. Also as you mentioned- it used to go directly back to the offers available list and be fixed on the next item. The previous items that you sent offers for were no longer there because you already sent an offer....now the whole list remains and you have to keep track of what you just sent an offer on.
Again none of this is going to cripple my ability to list or earn a living selling on ebay but its just so frustrating to have some unknown group of people that do not actually use ebay, make changes that make it harder to do business here. And for no apparent reason other than to make changes for changes sake- if it takes longer to do something or takes more steps to do it------its not a good change- its a bad change

These changes on top of the ones from a few months ago have added like 9 additional clicks for me PER ITEM, when I send SIO's, which I do at least 3x a day, sometimes 40-50/day. Having been in IT all my life, it's inexcusable to make it more time consuming to this degree & so much more difficult. I do think they heard my numerous complaints (you have to do the 'tell us what you think' cuz they do read those) & now the Confirmation Screen is smaller & less obnoxious, but it still has NO REASON to exist. When it used to work by putting you on the next one in the grid, which is where you're going next as a user. I swear they never use these features. It's still an extra click just to say 'got it'.
That said, @siamjane8 mine do disappear from the queue once I've sent the offer, but sometimes there's a lag. So, I don't have to remember anything.
Even worse than this is the functionality they took away! There were 3 snowstorms this week, I can no longer change Handling time (unless I do them all) b/c they took away the filter. It was literally the only filter I ever used & I used it all the time b/c I do SIO's & you can't change items when you've sent an offer, so I would have to constantly filter any time we have a big snowstorm, so I could change the SIO ones to increase the Handling, after the change window had passed & then also to change them back again. Like this week alone, I would have used that filter probably 30 times. Good design does not remove functionality that users rely on. Especially when you have a 'catch all' category of filter that you could have easily put it in, if you didn't want it on the main screen. Though the main set of filters that show up are stupid. I've never used a one of them 😞
I disagree that it doesn't impede doing biz on eBay. Along with all the low sales b/c everyone's leaving the site b/c of the constant changes, if something I do daily, often mulitple x a day now takes me 1/2 hour instead of 5 minutes, that's a HUGE impediment to continuing to do biz here. On the surface it seems like no big deal but time is money & also there's only so many hours in a day. I don't want to spend them doing 20 additional unnecessary clicks. I don't do eBay b/c I have to. I did it b/c it was fun 😞
