Here we go again. Ebay just can't leave the listing / selling format alone. I got on here to start listing items and find this new format that is now going to cut into my time figuring it all out. It looks to be spread all over the place and it's very distracting to me.
I don't need to be looking at, nor do I want a " Manage Active Listings " page when I hit a button to bring up the listing page. It was much easier to just hit the sell button, which brought up the listing page only and save the drafts, until you were ready to list.
They want you to sell, so you are making them money, but are making it more time consuming for you to do so, especially for older people. Some who have been with them for years.
They just can't get the concept of , " Don't Fix What Isn't Broke. " Just further proof that the world is losing more commonsense, as time goes by.
Probably like a lot of others, I just may hang it up. I have limited time to list anything on the weekends and I'm getting **bleep** tired of my time getting eat up by changing listing formats that I have to learn all over again. I'm sure there are many others, who are getting tired of the listing format changing twice in the last year or so.
Where does it end???

I agree...I've been listing books for the past couple of months and suddenly, the format has totally changed and I think it's horrible, awkward and not user-friendly. I don't understand the rationale behind all of these bizarre changes, which seem to make it much more complicated and time-consuming to sell. Some things seem to have vanished in the selling form, some added and not very clear at all. I spoke to a young lady at eBay, to ask if this was just an option or Beta test, but she said, "no", this is the new selling format (basically, take it or leave it). You CAN teach an old dog new tricks, but my point is that this new trick is not a very good one! Why mess with something that worked??

I leave my sold page up 24/7, as this is the page I use the most to keep track of sales and to get things mailed. I had to refresh the page and now the sold page is gone. I have no idea as to how I'm suppose to keep track of my sold items when they are scattered all over the place. To much distraction to look at and not user friendly.
Do they really expect us to constantly have to relearn their constant changes. This takes more time than it's worth. All most of us want to do, is simply list and sell things, not have to function like we're some big corporation. Apparently Ebay doesn't care that the average person's listings, are supporting them. Perhaps they should consider supporting us with a more simplistic format, like we once had. That way we can make a little money, which in turn, benefits them. It truly has become so mind boggling to try and list, keep track, and figure things out the way things are with this ridiculous change. I used to be able to list many more items on a weekend night with ease and it was easier on the eyes. Now, I don't know where to begin. If there is an answer as to where to begin, you have to hunt all over the **bleep** place to find it. I really used to enjoy this, but who in their right mind could possibly enjoy the insanity of this garbled mess.

They want sellers to be grateful for changes no one asks for, that make it more difficult to use the site.
They are not idiots. You don't keep making the site worse, and worse, year after year, and chalk it up to mere ineptness. They do get seller feedback after all. The only logical reason is that it's designed to make the seller experience worse. I believe these changes are being done on purpose to make the site more difficult to use, in order that sellers like you, and others, decide to leave on their own.
You may say why?
Most likely they will be smaller sellers that ebay views as low dollar low value item sellers. These changes will make a certain percentage of them decide to just call it a day on Ebay and self-remove themselves, so Ebay doesn't have to do it.

ABSOLUTELY HATE THE NEW LISTING FORMAT AND LINK TO USE THE OLD FORMAT IS GONE!
I know that you can't please everyone but Ebay always throws the baby out with the bathwater.... This new format is for phone listers and they could care less about all their other customers who still use a computer / laptop for listings. They think that all people need are photographs so have upped the photos to 24 while reducing access to EVERYTHING ELSE! But guess what? The photo tool sucks too. It takes 3x as long to download the photos. The photo editor is awful since it can only be done on it's own pop-up screen. And I am unable to work on anything else when the photos are being downloaded because the minute I try they stop downloading and disappear so I have to start all over. I DO NOT USE MY PHONE TO LIST, but even if I did I would still hate this new format. They have removed the "lot" listing option and I happen to do a lot of them. There is nothing there under any category for lots anymore. They are forcing you to put in titles and ISBN for books which is stupid when you have a listing that includes more than one. The categories have been reduced so its harder to find a niche for unique items. They removed all the text editing options so there are hardly any colors, fonts, or formatting to choose from to customize your listing. Literally EVERYTHING takes longer to list because of all the stupid drop down menus you have to search. In what universe does Ebay think this is a better listing format? My listing times have doubled: it's hideous, labor intensive, and yet still manages to be harder to use despite taking away half the (much appreciated) listing options.
EBAY - LISTEN TO YOUR SELLERS! WE HATE THIS NEW LISTING FORMAT!!!

And I thought I was the only one that hates this new format. It's harder to list items and takes longer. At least Craigslist took the hint and went back to the old format.

Big sellers too.
I genuinely feel that this new selling format is to encourage as many sellers as possible to leave.
