Last night the buyer left me negative feedback, without trying to contact me first to work things out. She explained she is new to eBay and was “ quick on the draw”. I refunded her and she said she would try to remove the negative feedback. I also sent an e-mail to eBay detailing what I just said. EBay did not remove the neg. Feedback, saying that the buyer has to do it herself. Between ever raising fees and not being able to speak to person live I am sick to death with eBay. This was my first. Negative feedback in 3 years. This may be the final straw that breaks the camels back. It is very likely I will close my account with eBay. There are many other sites to sell things.

You have to use one of your feedback revisals.
You should be able to access it from your feedback profile. It sends a request to the buyer to change the feedback.
Since she seems willing and stated she jumped the gun with the feedback, I'd send them one.
The feedback that was left doesn't violate any policies so eBay won't remove it. Requesting eBay to remove feedback is only done for policy violations.

You need to send the buyer the request for feedback revision, then it's up to the buyer to agree.
Good luck

Scroll to the bottom of your feedback page and send your buyer a revision request.

You're over reacting, and this is how I felt a few days ago when I got two negs from a buyer who was "quick to draw".
If your buyer is willing to remove the negative, send a "feedback revision request" (from the feedback page) and just put in the text box that the buyer has agreed to remove it because the problem is resolved. She will get a link and be able to revise it from there.

OMG this is a normal thing for sellers to deal with. You could have easily resolved this with your buyer by sending them a Feedback Revision Form.
Ebay will not removed a negative FB because you give them a copy of an email the buyer sent you. That is simply not going to work for so many reasons.
You are upset with Ebay simply because you were not aware of the EASY process to take care of this problem once you had worked out your issue with the buyer.
I see you have now resolved the issue and the feedback is fixed. That is really good news. For the future, before you get yourself so worked up and upset about something, find out what the procedure is to resolve whatever issue you are having. Remember it is doubtful that whatever is going on would be the first time it ever happened on this site, Ebay likely has a policy or procedure on how to handle it. And when in doubt, come here, we will help you.
I see that @itscalledapostingid gave you the link to where you can find the Feedback Revision forms, so make sure you bookmark that for the future.

Anyone who is crazy enough not to buy from you because of one negative feedback is not someone you want purchasing from you anyway

You should also save these @dodgerthedoberman as it appears you are having a problem contacting Customer Service.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.
https://twitter.com/askebay
https://www.facebook.com/eBay/
Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

I don't mind selling to crazy people.
Their money spends just as well as sane people's. 😉

From the history of the buyer, seems like a risk not worth it to me.
There is that old saying, it goes something like this. When people tell you who they are, listen!!!!

Dumping everything and running over one dopey neg? You can get bad ratings on ANY selling platform.
