I think that ebay should make it where a customer has to click that they read the description on an item before payment because a lot of customers do not read.

Negative feedback

There is no way to force anyone to read anything, here or elsewhere.  If a buyer were to click they read everything, it doesn't mean they actually did, all it means is they checked the box.

I do understand where you are coming from.  Sellers have been after way to make buyer contact the seller BEFORE they can leave a negative or neutral FB, but they haven't done anything about that and it has been asked for, for many years.

I do feel your frustration.

Methinks the return of negative feedback for buyers might discourage that. Although I take no issue with blocking & reporting buyers, we never really know what disciplinary measures, if any, are taken.

You have nice photos & descriptions, although I would be more inclined to use a ruler than a coin. Yeah, rulers are tacky looking but, they get the point across better than a coin. Just my two cents.

Read vs comprehend is at play here too.

I think eBay has made listings so busy with similar items, and now experimenting with links to find the descriptions, it’s becoming hopeless to think a buyer can even find them.  I try to make sure important information is listed in the condition field, which appears in a more prominent location than the search for a description.

Just like when I click on "I understand the terms of service" when I never read it.

Thats true, but you're not legally committing to buy anything when you hit the "I read the terms of service" checkbox.  You're not forking out your money for something in that scenario.
