Negative buyer feedback

Just recently I had negative buyer feedback. He stated that the camera and lens had fungus all over them. The pictures of the items show no such issue quite the opposite however he was able to leave the negative feedback. Ha also did not request a return which one would have thought he would have wanted if things were so bad. Just a vendetta against me for some reason?

Unfortunately they didn't say anything that breaches the feedback rules so it is highly unlikely that Ebay will remove it.  I get it, it is unfair.  Your response was fine.  It is doubtful that it will harm you in any way.

But I certainly understand it is so annoying to see.

Had you posted here prior to responding to the feedback, my suggestion for a reply would have been, "I'm sorry you aren't happy with the camera and lens. Had you informed me, I would ask you to please return it for a refund."

When you put no returns some buyers don't know that they literally can get a return/refund so they just go to feedback.

When you put no returns some buyers don't know that they literally can get a return/refund so they just go to feedback.

That is very true.  It is a risk to a seller's feedback too.  If a buyer thinks they can't return it when something is wrong, they may just show their distress by what they post as feedback.

Sometimes yes.

Buyers can leave feedback for any reason, even reasons that aren't valid. They may think that you did this to them on purpose. 

You add anonymity of the internet to people that really shouldn't be using the internet in the first place and that's just what happens from time to time.

Remember anyone can use ebay, even the people you see stapling bigfoot literature to telephone poles.

Such as what specifically?  There is dust on the outside of the lens but not inside.
