Negative/Neutral feedback... WHY?

I'm not first or the last this have happened to but the way eBay handled this is shameful.

As a fairly new seller (on this account) I have 304 feedbacks at this time, all positive until yesterday.

I know as everyone else sooner or later a neg or neu feedback will happen. Just the game of eBay, right?

... But when the feedback is not valid or wrongfully added, shouldn't eBay stand behind the seller?

(I received a positive comment and a neutral feedback).

The incident with my buyer is probably not unique in any way, but if no one say something this nonsence will continue. I'm pretty confident my buyer left this feedback by ignorance and not to hurt my store in any way, but this is the situation where eBay should step in and help the seller out.

I'm a trs with 100% feedback, I do the promoted listings (not because I want to but seems like thats the only way nowadays), I have the silly free returns and free shipping, all to please the algorhytm. And here comes the no responsibility act from eBay. How can you allow a fairly new (9 feedbacks) to leave neg and neu at the same time leave a positive comment? Unbelieveable.

When contacted cs it was like talking to a wall, no sympathy or effort to make this situation right. As explained to cs and their MANAGER this buyer leave these comments to everyone (neg and neu and a positive comment).

I feel discourage to list and do my promoted listings at this time, as eBay obviously don't stand behind their sellers.

Re: Negative/Neutral feedback... WHY?

That last part was interesting reading... It says cannot leave neg comments with a pos rating.... Shouldnt it be the same the other way around then, cant leave pos with a neg or neu rating? like in my case ... umm....

Re: Negative/Neutral feedback... WHY?

I think the negative comments under a positive rating is mostly applicable to sellers leaving feedback to buyers. Since sellers lost their negative privilege in 2008, some sellers try to get around it by leaving negative comments with a positive green dot. It of course is an attempt to get around the rules and is therefore a selling violation.

I would think sellers who get a green dot with a negative comment should be thankful the dot isn't red. In general buyers rarely read positive feedback so will never notice a negatively worded comment with a green dot.
