I received my first negative feedback of the year for following the eBay policy for dropshipping. The buyer agreed to remove the negative feedback for a $20 partial refund. eBay also declined my request to remove the negative feedback. Does the Seller have any protections ever? The item was sourced from a major online wholesaler.

A seller has no protection from negative feedback that does not violate the feedback policy.

If you're dropshipping from another retailer, you're not following the dropshipping policy.

I'm going to tag this to see if someone can offer some assistance to you. But I caution you to make sure you do have your listings running within the rules of Ebay.
If you are purchasing from another company WITH the agreement that they are going to function as your drop shipper, then you are fine on that part. But if that agreement is not in place, you may have an issue.
Also in this specific listing, I didn't look at other ones, you have that it could shop from multiple locations. You need to nail that down to one location.

As to this FB you want removed. The demand the buyer made is against the rules, so that may help. Did they send any other emails trying to extort money? Have you looked at the buyer's FB left for others. Often times that can tell you they have a history of doing this kind of stuff which is FB abuse and that is against the rules.

The program you're using for your listings, their suppliers are regular retail sites, and you can't dropship from them.

Doesn't seem like you're doing dropshipping, but retail arbitrage which is NOT following eBay policy.

The program he's using, AutoDS, they allow their subscribers to list items from retailers like Walmart, Wayfair, Cosco and other retailers.
The OP purchases the items through the retail sites and have the items dropshipped from those retailers.
So every seller that uses that service is going against the dropshipping policy.

I am for the introduction of a fee in case the buyer has to return the item due to seller fault. If seller pay that fee to the buyer ($25 -$50) and make an easy transaction for buyer the feedback must be protected from bad people behavior which like to harm before they do anything good for this society. In my opinion this is fair but I may be wrong.
