Negative Feedback Question

I'm sorry, but yes, you are.

I checked the listing.  You listed it in the wrong condition category.  You listed it as used.

Here is the Ebay definition of used:

An item that has been used previously. The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended. This item may be a floor model or store return that has been used. See the seller’s listing for full details and description of any imperfections.

You don't know it is fully operational and functions as intended.  You should have listed this in Parts, Not working.

Again, sorry~always check the condition you choose to be sure it matches the true condition of the item.

Professional responses to buyer's negatives are for your future potential buyers, as an unprofessional response may cause futures potential buyers to hit the back button and decide to not do business with you if they perceive you to be difficult.  You can do great damage to your future sales, if any, if the response turns off buyers.

Never insult a buyer in a feedback response.

I understand what you are saying in your description that the item may not work.

However, ebay does impose a standard to which sellers must comply, to list your item in a particular category, if you do not guarantee that your item does work.

EBay wants buyers to enjoy a pleasant buying experience.

Negative Feedback Question

Why didn't you just hook it up to your tv and test the console? You guaranteed that the machine worked when you put it into the "works properly" category.

Negative Feedback Question

Depends on if this item category (and it has to be the absolute correct category), has no option for parts or not working.

If it didn't give you the option you would still need to mention something like untested, may not work bid/offer accordingly in the listing

Negative Feedback Question

Listing did say untested, but at the end of the title in the listing and not prominent or explained further, such as untested~may or may not work properly, bid or buy accordingly.  Thus not readily apparent.

You are not the first one to make that mistake and you won't be the last.  We see it all the time on this Board.

Yeah, that's why I always find a category for whatever is is I have that has the parts or not working condition field.

Sometimes it is a struggle to find it.

What if the category is absolutely the correct category and there is no option for parts or repair. And you listed it as untested. What recorse do you have then.
