Can someone please tell me how the catalog works. Every time I ask a question I get no answers.
How to use it, access it, or whatever. My sales have dropped off since April. I'm jumping through hoops here changing and cancelling listings, taking new pics and so on. Now I'm being told that my items may not be in the catalog and I need to update it. The items I sell are not my own, I buy clothing wholesale. How do I access or update the catalog, and is this the reason why my sales have dropped?
Thank you.

Is that a catalog page or a product page? It looks like a product page to me and aren't they phasing out that short-lived project and replacing everything with catalog pages eventually?
They haven't started a catalog for clothing yet as far as I know.

Hi, i nosed around to see where i could find a knowledgeable resource for you and found this link below from CrazyLister. The founder of the company seems to have detailed info re: the product catalog. The article is good, but the Comment section at the end is of great interest. He answers multiple questions there and seems to know his stuff.

I’m sorry i don’t know very much but appreciate you posting. I sell vintage items mainly and in categories not yet part of the product catalog so i haven't given this change much thought yet. I can see i need to bone up on it. Thank you for taking the time to post and hope you find your answers soon.

Whew! that's even stranger..........that post was really delayed in showing up......
@Anonymous
I really don't know the answer or the difference between Product pages and catalog pages. ......... at one point Syed said he was trying to stop the automatic creation, but I was told at OPen that he was facing alot of opposition. I see alot of whatever pages that weren't there several months ago, so I'm thinking they are still being created.......even tho the categories aren't yet requiring the submission creation of the pages.

@dhbookds, yes I believe it's an auto-generated product page. Clothing isn't part of the catalog yet and the catalog pages look different. The product pages also create a lot of duplicates which is probably one of the reasons Syed wanted to stop the auto-creation. It's more work to go through and manage those duplicates than it is to create one single catalog page from scratch.
doug@ebay- please look at post #13 above. It's another example of a disappearing and reappearing post. Look at the view count - it should be higher than post #14 but it's lower which is your physical evidence that the post went missing for a while.
