I wanted to report an issue with the buyer wanting a refund. But after I typed in the message below and added 1 photo, I clicked NEXT, then REFUND NOW. Then I get "There was a problem issuing this refund." Need help but can't get anyone on the phone at either number for eBay. I will issue refund, but want eBay to know what has taken place with this buyer.
This is the message I wish to send along with a photo showing the game does work;
"Buyer claimed game did not work and asked for a full 'refund' BUT he wanted to 'keep' the game. Why would you want to keep something that doesn't work?!
Received the game back today and it DOES work! So I lost money paying for return shipping and from the initial sale! Not fair to me, the seller, at all!"
Please advise,
Steve & Sherry Penson

There is nothing you can do and nothing in a message to the buyer that will matter.
Issue the refund, move on and just know that the buyer knows what he/she did and ebay doesn't care.
Unless you are a top rated seller and have a few extra protections, there is nothing you can do but refund in full.

My advice would be .... take the loss and be glad you got the game back in working condition.
Re-list the game and hopefully you'll sell it to someone honest.
Good luck and stay safe!

"There was a problem issuing this refund."
Remember to have enough in your PayPal (FVFs, etc.) to make the refund. If not, load some cash into PayPal.

If you dont have free shipping, you can deduct for shipping both ways. Set you refunds that you handle them yourself. Tell the buyer that since there was nothing wrong with the game, you have to deduct for that, and for the 10% you lose on the fee for the shipping.

eBay is a site that facilitates buyer returns, and a site where fraud is possible.
If you are going to sell here, those are the risks.
Now that you know this, evaluate your business model and decide whether you are willing to accept that risk.

You really need to read ebay's policies on refunding buyers.

Is there enough cleared funds in your Pay Pal account to cover the refund?
In not, you'll have to transfer enough funds to your Pay Pal account to cover the refund.

That's not how it works when a buyer files an INAD.

If you were feeling very snarky, you could add a Response to her feedback or your own "Game was returned promptly & in full working condition Thank you. "
A seller who happened to notice it (very very unlikely) would understand. And it is nothing but positive.
A better move would be to Block the buyer , relist and move on.
You have 250 positive feedback from happy buyers. The cost of shipping should be more than covered by your profits on those sales.
