Need Help with MC011 Restriction and Proof of Merchandise for Homemade Items

Hello eBay Community,

I recently received a restriction on my account (MC011), and I’ve been informed that I need to provide Proof of Merchandise for the products I’m listing. The issue is that I sell homemade items and not mass-produced goods, so I don’t have traditional manufacturer invoices or proof.

I’m wondering if anyone has experience with submitting documentation for handmade products to eBay, and what kind of documents or proof I should provide to resolve this issue.

So far, I have:

  • Photos of the items
  • Photos of the creation process
  • Materials used (receipts for raw materials)

Is there anything else I should include, or any tips on how to best present this information to eBay?

Thank you in advance for your help and advice!

Best regards,

Isuru perera

None of the listings show your own pictures and "creation process" but instead, are all images found online.

Sorry but I don't see a single item you are selling that looks like you hand made. Every photo looks the same as every other seller from your country uses.  The photos show items that would be drop shipped from a supplier and you are being asked to provide proof that you have ownership of the items to sell.

Homemade is not a word associated with spices.  It's usually used with craft items.  Not products people ingest.  Also, "1 year from manufacture date" is not an expiration date.  That opens the possibility to shipping expired products and getting in this type of situation.   I seriously doubt you have the industrial machines in your home that were used to package some of your listings.

They want Proof of Merchandise? Do you mean receipts for your items?

Maybe they want proof your spices are pre packaged and from a licensed facility to guarante purity.

The receipts for your raw materials  are your best proof of merchandise.

This should include receipts for those very professional packages you picture.

You're not making those items, you're dropshipping.

Have a great day.

It's time eBay require notarized pictures of bathroom facilities for anyone attempting to sell ingestible items.

Follow up is the OP is now permanently restricted.  Maybe they did show them pictures of their facilities. 🤣
