Need Help Removing Unfair Negative Feedback – Can't Reach eBay Support

Hi everyone,

I am reaching out because I cannot find the right page to request feedback removal, and eBay’s automated bot does not provide any helpful options.

I accidentally list a football jersey at the wrong price – I list it as a lower-value 'Stadium' version instead of the more expensive 'Match' version. That day, I add several listings, and in the process, I unintentionally set the wrong price for this particular item. The listing goes live at 7:38 PM (Polish time), and at 7:48 PM, I notice the mistake and immediately cancel the order to avoid financial loss. I also inform the buyer right away.

Unfortunately, the buyer, who is also a competitor selling similar collector's jerseys, leaves a lengthy negative comment claiming I cancel due to dissatisfaction with the price and ask for nearly double the amount afterward, which is not true. I submit a feedback revision request, but the buyer refuses it.

I believe this feedback is unfair and harms my reputation, as I always maintain high standards of service. Does anyone know how I can escalate this to eBay support, or if there is another way to remove the feedback?

"You can respond to feedback, leave follow up comments, and request to remove feedback less than 30 days old from your feedback profile. If you're a seller, you can also request to remove feedback by selecting the button below."

What reason did you use to cancel?

 

You made a mistake and instead of honoring the price you sold the item for, you canceled then relisted for a higher price.

 

You should have honored the price and learned to double check listings before they go live.

 

FB is the buyers opinion of how the transaction went. The buyer was disappointed because of your actions.

eBay will not remove this FB.

Had you just shipped and honored the price, you would not have the Negative FB.

Now you will have it for a year.

The feedback is accurate, from what you relate.......so they probably won't remove it.    Your reply to it is excellent.

Correct. Cancelling a transaction and disappointing a buyer does harm your reputation.

Not always. Cancelling a transaction and disappointing a buyer is not a high standard of service.

You just admitted on this thread that you canceled to avoid a financial loss. So that part seems true.

It looks to me like you relisted the item afterward asking for $260 instead of $160. So that part also seems true.
