Could be more buyers are now researching price before purchasing, than in the past.
Yes, that could be the issue.
I just searched something and came up with 8 results.
Sorted Low$ to High$ and now have 7 results.
Wonder where that 8th one went?
One is missing from my price point search.
Going to be difficult to sell what isn't shown.
Makes little to no difference what you do. You will be seen when eBay decides it wants you to be seen

I was shipping items almost daily and sometimes twice in a day (deliveries to post office just before closing) prior to Christmas.....after Christmas to first of year can expect some slowness......but it never came back, and now nothing..... and you are correct about Southern Cal Warehouse flooding Ebay with cheap knock-offs, counterfeit merchandise and they have recently (as of last year) started to get in my area of expertise...carbide cutting tools....now they are competition with their Chinese made cutting tools. but customers don't understand quality when buy from them, just price

Your customers WILL start understanding when the tools break that didn't in the past.
I just did a Google Search (different computer, different browser) for 'Carbide Endmills'..not 1 ad from ebay.
What I build also slowed way down and one way to REALLY see it is
Compare 'views'... this exact 30 days a year ago, to this year. My 'views' went from 2300 (outside world) to 1800...and now I don't see 'ebay' ads.
Simply because they want sellers to PAY the new Promotions Advanced, which is the 'ad fee' they pay google, which is just a Pay per Click...so YOU get the pay even when you DON'T get a sale.
I'm going to keep a close eye- may have to 'try' the new PA, because Googles PPC has gone sky high in pricing (what was just .50c a click 3 years ago, is now $4!

@carbideliquidator That's probably good that you no longer use them ... I used to recommend them but not anymore. Too much of how Sellers sell is monitored and when I stopped running my normal quarterly 30 Day Promoted Listing Standard campaign I got the message below ... not once but twice around the time I would normally run my 4th quarter Campaign:
Be glad you have only seen a drop in the last 31 days ... I have been weathering a slow steady decline in sales since early 2022 when Promoted Listings Advanced was fully launched, the Views counting changed and the "Suggested Ad Rates" for Promoted listing campaigns doubled and tripled overnight.
I sincerely hope things turn around for you.

@mr_lincoln I get a daily message posted on the top of my closet on Poshmark to come back and use their promoted closet scheme again. I did try it - prohibitively expensive for the value it gave. They sent a blast out to closet owners touting that you get $5 return on every $1 we spend on promoted closet ads! I guess they think we can't do math - that's about a 20% hit.

Ok, your sales are down 93% and it's all ebay's fault.
What do you plan to do about it?

Hate to disagree with you, but your lack of sales isn't making you an expert in anything. You are the one here complaining how you have no sales anymore. An "expert" is ahead of the curve. An expert knows how to tap into ready customers. It's not just about knowing your product.

I can't control Ebay first of all...., I just listed majority of my listings at 20% off.....I plan on listing a bunch more items in the coming days....if that doesn't work, I'll continue to increase percentage off on listings until the pain gets too much.....I'm not going to Pay to Play anymore than the fees I'm paying now. Ebay is not my only source of income, it is just a supplement to my income.....if it dies, it dies !

To prove to you that ebay is not the problem,
Try listing 1,000 brand new Playstation 5's for $100 with free shipping.
I guarantee you sales will be brisk.

I think "something is seriously wrong with Ebay" has been going on for a LOT longer than 31 days - I'm gonna say about 15 years, which really started in 2008 when they went to "Best Match" default search... From our experience, Its been going downhill and degrading at its core since then.

You are correct - something is seriously wrong with eBay.
Something has been seriously wrong with eBay since May of 2022. I've come to the conclusion that buyers are done overpaying for eBay's fees and taxes and high cost of shipping.

lol....Sorry but not my expertise.....I'll stick with what I'm an expert at.

You use that example quite often - so eBay's only utility these days is for bargainhunters and bottomfeeders to capitalize on the stupidity of others?
01-24-2024 07:06 PM
My best years with Ebay was before I opened a store, and was selling everything at auction.......maybe from 2001 to 2008....buyers were hungry for anything listed, and would run the price up....even in a specific field like mine.

If people want something at the price you are selling it for, they will but it.
If they don't, they will not buy it.
Crazy theory huh?
Slow/no sales is NOT a problem with ebay.
It's a problem with what you are selling at the price you are selling it for.
