I am sure i am not the only person that does not get feedback from a buyer or a seller, after leaving one for such..
I have left feedback for all my buys or my sells.
and yet some of my buyers do not leave feedback and is really unfair. It keeps the rating lower than it should be while the buyer or the seller feedback rating goes up..
I know that if they want to leave feedback they can if they dont they dont have too..
But if a positive feedback is left from one then i think ebay or ????, Needs to have a auto feedback just for those that leave a positive feedback rating for the buyer or the seller..
this way everything as far as feedback goes, gets adjusted as it needs to be and is fair for both the buyer or the seller ..

As a seller you have plenty of FB to show you are a solid seller.
I personally would not want Ebay to ASSUME to know what was in the members mind and leave some kind of FB for them, especially since leaving FB isn't mandatory.
For myself, I'd like to see Ebay move in the same direction as most other sites and do away with FB for buyers completely. It has no value for anyone except for those buyers that it makes them feel good. But beyond that, there is no value.

Feedback really doesn't mean much anymore. Since buyers can get nothing but positive feedback it is simply a public thank you to them for their purchase. As a seller, you only need so many positive feedbacks to establish a good reputation and as long as all your feedbacks, as a seller, are a positive, you should have no problems.
And as the other poster stated, feedback is voluntary. No one has to leave it ever.

Feedback is voluntary on both sides and should never be automated. When I (buyer only) do not leave a seller feedback, I am protecting the seller's reputation instead of airing their dirty laundry in a public forum and listing the sellers' every shortcoming in a transaction. Seller is, in the end, better off without the feedback, if I cannot give them a glowing review.
I do not belive ebay should ever even automate the DSR ratings which they currently do based on biased criteria. They have no idea what I thought of your communication, your shipping performance, or delivery time, or even how much you padded the BIN price to cover shipping plus ebay's cut.

How will you feel if some of your buyers do give you feedback and it turns out to be negatives? Your rating is fine as it is.

Feedback used to mean something in the early life of the ecommerce community. It was even tied to seller metrics, a very bad idea for a subjective program. Now that it no longer can affect our service standing with eBay, and the rules were changed in ‘08 to stop buyers from receiving negative scores, it has lost most of its early purpose.
Not receiving feedback is not necessarily a bad thing, as others have alluded to. Since it is voluntary, there is little reason to feel slighted by its absence. It is not personal.

If feedback is meaningless and voluntary and nobody cares why do I examine closely the feedback of sellers before I make a decision to spend my money with them?
OP, at this particular moment in 18 years I've left 5368 more feedback than I've received. Your mileage may vary.
Because the feedback left for sellers can sometimes give an idea of just what type of seller they are. They can still get negatives and neutrals so it is a good idea to at least scan the feedback left for them.
But as for buyers, they all have positives so there is no way for a seller to determine what type of buyer they might be by any feedback left for them.

Your feedback rating is 100%.
More (+) feedback, and it will remain at 100%
Poke the bear, and get a (-) you will no longer be at 100%
If there was auto feedback some buyers would leave bad feedback rather than just not leaving any when they were not 100% pleased, but chose not to leave a gray, or red donut.

You left 767 feedbacks so that means you were involved in 767 transactions. You received 641 feedbacks so you are receiving feedback for approximately 83.5% of your transactions. That is quite high comparatively to some other sellers. I have seen some posts in the community where sellers claimed to be receiving feedback for about 50% of their transactions. Others claimed it was as low as 25%.
As a buyer, I use feedback as one of the factors to decide which sellers to buy from. So I do believe it is still a useful tool.
