NEW BUYER HAS INVALID ADDRESS , CAN'T PRINT SHIPPING LABEL .

I sold a locket necklace to a new to e bay buyer a few days ago . Everything was going fine .She paid instantly with Pay Pal . However when I went to print out the shipping label  a red letter note appeared to say USPS  says the address is invalid  and would not allow me to proceed . I sent the buyer a message  explaining this  and then asked her to double check the address she has on file  to make certain  its correct . Its been a few days now and the address is still invalid  and I haven't received a reply from the buyer . Since the time to ship is now overdue I called e bay and asked what I should do .  They said to give the buyer three days to see my message  and make any needed changes .They also assured me I wouldn't get dinged for late shipping .  Thats not how it looks on my summary page . In fact it says shipping is late . I'm thinking of just refunding the buyer at this point  with an explanation  that I can not ship her order . However I'm wondering if e bay  could call her  or give me her number so I could ? She just signed up with e bay on Nov. 10th  and may not know how to get to her messages . 😞  Tulips

NEW BUYER HAS INVALID ADDRESS , CAN'T PRINT SHIPPING LABEL .

It could be a valid address, just in an invalid format.

Go here: https://tools.usps.com/zip-code-lookup.htm?byaddress

Enter the address as it is written. USPS will show you the correct format if it's actually a valid address.

Next time, just cancel stating invalid address. No problems at all since to make the address valid, it has to be done through Paypal, which means the changes have to be made prior to purchasing anything on Ebay.

There's no way around it than cancelling the sale.

I've had that happen before and usually can fix the address if I saw an obvious problem such as the buyer spaced it incorrectly or used an improper abbreviation or something.  I never change any vital information, though.    Otherwise, I would cancel using problem with address before my handling time was up.

Did Paypal mark it as "eligible"?  If so, did you try printing it directly through Paypal and skipping eBay?

The Pay Pal thingy said the buyer was an unregistered user  with a ? mark next to their address . I tried to contact the buyer to let them know I couldn't ship to the address they had on file  but to no avail ,, no response .After trying again to ship this morning it still says the address is invalid . I finally refunded the buyer this morning with an explanation for the refund.  However on my sellers page it still says I need to ship this item and now it says ''LATE TO SHIP '' . I tried calling e bay back this morning as they requested   but after being given an estimation of a 18 minute wait  I was on hold nearly one hour before finally giving up. So it is what it is and I'll just need to accept the '' punishment ''   whatever it may be.  Tulips

Thank you ,, I checked the address the buyer had on file carefully but I honestly could not see any errors  in it , it looked fine . Still it would not allow me to ship after trying for the 5th and final time . I just sent the buyer a full refund a bit ago  😞    Tulips
