this is the message I get from a seller lying that I sent him a used pulley, for starters he bought a belt& I only sell new ones.
Below is 1 of many messages from him threatening to come find me because I told him to send a photo of it, which he refused.
I get that response & - feedback and ebay refuses to do anything at all about it because its his opinion?!
As you can see he blatantly abuses the feedback system too only leaving negs& even the + are negative.

Call the police in that seller’s buyer’s location if you feel threatened.
eBay doesn’t get involved with he said/ he did scenarios.
You can block and report the buyer in the messages.

You tried to get the feedback removed by eBay....it is rather strange..."arrogant" and "do not buy" I would think would be words or wordage that cannot be used. Customer service doesn't always work the first time. I might try it again.

Ebay is correct. The FB doesn't break any of the rules and is the buyer's opinion, so there is nothing they will do about the FB. I know that is distressing. I really understand and respect that. You can respond to it if you want but I caution you to stay professional and factual. Your response if emotional can do far more harm that the FB the buyer left. Remember potential buyers will see what you write. If you point fingers and just get upset, it won't look good and would be better just not to respond.
However if you do decide to respond I would definitely say the buyer bought a Belt not a pulley. And actually you could try contacting Ebay again and tell them he is giving a review on something he did NOT purchase from you. Now that could very well be a reason to get it removed. I do see now that you did respond.
As to the emails you got from the buyer. You must have posted them with the buyer ID showing. We can't do that here, it is against the rules, so it got removed. But you can post the body of the email here just don't let anyone's ID show in it.
Ebay does care about threatening emails, you are wrong on that. But if you haven't reported them, there is nothing Ebay will do because they don't know it exists. There is a way to report an email on every email you receive.

You can try to get it removed here:

If it's going to happen, it usually happens within an hour. Keep it short & factual. Tell them you've never sold this person a pulley, that you sold them a belt & tell them the buyer threatened your life & point them to your messages, so they can read the threats. It's worth a shot. Though if the buyer is ESL, I can see them using the term "pulley" to describe what they bought.

Just my own personal opinion. But unless the reason for the removal is very obvious, you would serve yourself better by actually contacting Ebay to explain. This automatic way is reviewed by a bot as it is too quick to respond to be anything else in my experience. So in a case like this where the buyer bought a belt but is complaining about a pulley, IMHO it is better to directly contact Customer Service.
Just my opinion.

Yeah, I disagree, also JMO. I've had exceptional luck with the automated link I posted & while I can't be certain, I don't think it's a bot. Several of mine have needed human-level discernment. They've removed every single one I've ever submitted except for one that was too old. I've also reccomended it many times & most of the time, the neg is removed. What I like best though is no need to use risky SM like FB. Though I understand many people are ok with the risk, it's a valuable alternative for those who aren't willing to take the risk of using sites like FB. Plus, no ESL convos 😃. But OP can do whatever they want, I just presented my favorite alternative.
BTW, OP already DID respond to the FB.

What (exactly) was the threat?
08-16-2023 01:23 PM
On FB that is not straight forward? Boy our experiences are different. I'm glad it works for you. In my experience the bot would not pick up that the buyer bought a belt and not a pulley that they are complaining about.
Yes, I noted that in my earlier post.

Good advice, but it's too late now late for OP to leave a calm, factual, professional reply, having already jumped in with a reply that is none of that. Too bad.

Gee, that FB is nothing to get in a bunch over. Just ignore him and go on with your life.

Thanks for the suggestion, I was thinking about doing that but he's from Puerto Rico& doubt they'd care. Im surprised at how much ebays reps& even on their Facebook for business page they are trying to tell me his behaviors arent that bad.

Hi,
I've tried numerous times& was almost impossible to even get them to give me a phone # to call. Even went thru their account on facebook but all to no avail& they just say hes entitled to his opinion

hi
thanks for taking the time to reply with such a detailed response.
I have reported him in every way possible & reps just say they will take action but can not share what those details are...if this happened in any other environment they would be fired, banned, barred etc.
I think my feedback response was direct& to the point it says "100% FALSE, lying to get something for nothing. no pictures sent to us& refused to return the item even for a full refund. Very immature & made personal threats. Blocked & reported.
