My sales are a week on and week off , repeat. Anyone experiencing this ? I'm tired of listing.

I have a great rating and cannot figure out why, in my opinion, ebay is forcing out the original store owners???   I can't keep this up and they know it.....$

Well, let's see. We all know that feedback is not an accurate guide as to the number of sales. But in the long term it shows a trend.

You have 7 FB in the past month

34 in 6 months, whereas 7 times 6 = 42

54 in the last 12 months, whereas 7 times 12 = 84

So basically your past month's FB is running well ahead of your 6 month and 12 month statistics.

And your complaint?

EBay and all online shopping venues have been required to charge Internet (state) Sales Taxes for a couple of years now.

USPS , still under the thumb of PostMaster deJoy, has raised rates just in time for the Christmas shopping season.

Managed Payments have been in place for over a year, and PP fees are now higher than we pay with MP.

Those are the usual complaints.

Have your rates been raised lately for Defects? Not much can be done about that.

Are you trying to use the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad latest selling form? There's a lot of discussion and some workarounds found for that disaster.

NO, Ebay does not turn your items off every other week. Sales always have been and always will be sporadic. Please no conspiracies here.

Not long ago, I had a 7-day stretch of no sales then, during the next 7 days, I had 13.  Some would try to you believe that is just a normal ebb & flow.  They are wrong!   eBay interferes with various sellers on different levels.  For 2 weeks, I had 4 sales.  This week?  12!  Too much Eb & not enough Flo!   lol   Please explain to those too young to get it?   😛

Don't put all your chickens in one basket. Try other venues as well. Yes, this place does play with what traffic you get.  There were times I could not sell anything on here. I went to another venue(the crater)and listed the same items and traffic took off- stayed there for the slow times and I did ok.   There is the Artsy place- the River and the Japanese Merci place(not it;s real name of course).

I tried some of the other lesser known places and they were bombs.

Ebay always messes with him, and they do it on purpose. Maybe too many board complaints. I've read here that if you complain too much on the boards and blame Ebay for everything, they shut you down.

Has it occurred to you that your natural sales are very low, and eBay is putting a finger on the scale, in your favor, just to keep you happy?  You should  not be cursing those slow sales weeks - rather you should be thanking eBay for funneling sales to you.

It is interesting that we are all having the same pattern of sales.   I really think they want me to quit.   I have been selling 20 yrs and love it (ebay)  but it almost does not make sense anymore.

It's really hard to figure what's going on with the platform.    Sales are all over the place.....yes I am seeing items sit for weeks without action and then with no change whatsoever they all sell in a week.

The seller Hub dashboard reporting is displaying incorrect data for the last week.     My 31 day sales trend is calculated at about 6% up yet ebay is reporting it at 45% up.   Same with views and impressions.....math totally incorrect.

Many of the forum posts are the same here in the sellers section.........I'm pretty shocked that ebay either does not read them or nobody high enough up the ladder does.

I just got the Shopify 2023 ecommerce report......... the selling forecast looks so dismal it will keep you up at night.

If the forecast is true (and I believe Ebay has this data as well) it's baffling why ebay as a company in whole wouldn;t make adjustments to improve seller satisfaction
