I recently sold one of my items and then I saw the exact listing, including my photos and description exactly, on another website. I understand buying and reselling, since that’s what I do, but I don’t take info word for word nor do I use others photos. Is this common? Is it some sort of automated buy and resell program?
thanks in advance

It is no longer yours and the buyer is free to do as he wishes. It's the same item so taking another picture wouldn't make any difference. The wording should be exactly as is unless you described it snad then that would be the new owners problem.

The other site is probably an affiliate site.
They promote items on Ebay, then Ebay pays them a little if a sale is made from their site.
When they set up the items, Ebay provides the images and descriptions for them to use.

Makes sense but doesn’t seem right to do that.

How many affiliate sites are there? And does it really matter to me as a seller?

Probably thousands. Pretty much anyone can sign up to do it:

Thanks for the link. Do you think it is worth doing?

The OP is talking about an affiliate website not the OP's buyer relisting it and reselling.
These sites scrape the ebay listings and hope they score someone to buy it through them rather than the OP's ebay listing directly.

I noticed the same thing about some of my listings too.
BUT when, just for curiosity, I clicked the link it brought me directly to my own eBay page. So as far as I can see the other link is a free referral and may generate a sale I wouldn't otherwise get.
No complaint here.

What happened is... my item sold. Almost immediately it showed up on another site with all of my info...pics and description.

It happens to me all the time.
Somebody registered in a foreign country selling my item on Amazon. Used my photos. Copied my listing word for word. Doubled the price. When he sells one, he buys one from me and has me ship it to his customer direct.
At first it upset me, but after coming to these boards, others convinced me that it's a win-win situation. The more he sells, the more i sell. I should be thankful he is "selling for me".
Now it doesn't bother me.
Oh, and they're never around too long. They seem to go bye-bye very quickly.
