The listing I have up right now was previously listed for 15 days with only 5 views, no offers and no watchers. But now I relisted it as a auction and it has 16 views, 4 watchers and 2 offers. The listing is exactly the same as it was when it wasn’t a auction, how come it’s getting more attention as a auction?

If views are what you are after, then stick with the auctions. Views the vast majority of the time do not equal sales. And I can't tell you how many times I've gotten a sale on an item that had zero views per Ebay.
Sometimes it is Timing. Buyers looking for what you are selling are not always actively looking for it. They might be tomorrow or next week, but not today.
What I typically advise sellers is to test things out, kind of like you are doing. Find what works best for you and run with that. What works best for other sellers may not work for you at all.
And always remember that Ebay's numbers for views is often incorrect.
A very important thing to remember, you likely have more views because you significantly lowered the price of the item in the hopes you would get multiple bids to raise the price of the item. That will sometimes happen and sometimes not. So make sure you don't EVERY put the starting price on an auction for an amount you aren't willing to sell the item for if you only got one bid.
You are getting bids and views because you price is so low, not because buyers didn't see it when you have a Fixed price listing at a higher price for the item.
You won't know if this is going to be a success until your auction closes and you see what the product fetches you for the Purchase Price.

I see the one book you have for auction has a bid of $10.
A review of the book offered for sale by others indicate that if the book sells at $10 it sold for substantially less than the going price. Anyone looking for this book would likely be interested in you book for $10. At a low starting Bid on $10 this would likely attract more interested buyers.
When you had it list as Buy it Now, did you have the price at $10?

It is getting all this attention because you started this auction at too low a opening bid.
There are always other resellers who will bid on an underpriced item and buy it and wait to resell it at a price more in line with its potential value.

When buyers filter their search for auctions only there are usually less listings in search results.
I only search for auctions and would never see it otherwise.
