I've been back on eBay after a few years time off. It's very frustrating when I see 0 views, (pages & items.)
I'm wondering if the only way to be seen now, is to pay for extra advertising and/or special sponsored placement.
Has eBay become too full for us small time sellers to have any success?
(One of my items when I finally found it, was listed amongst tortoise beads. I rechecked my details in the listing and it was all correctly detailed. There IS Bakelite mentioned- but I just don't get it.

I'm trying that as well. tysm

I get it- but just FYI - every single item that inhaw- used also had in the title the basic simple search terms
I had vintage necklace in the title of the first example he listed
next: I had wall hook for coat
third: small wall art by artist DeBris
Are you saying that I should leave out the marginally relevant terms and leave my titles simple such as wall coat hook- vintage necklace- wall art?
I'm truly still wondering and just trying to get ideas; I'm not being sarcastic. Would you try that?

okay; I lied.
I took out commas on a couple items and switched around some terms. I'm exhausted. I tried changing around some things such as "beaded vintage handbag"- it also mentions lid being bakelite & a couple other things. Have waited awhile.......
How simple should the title be. I tried also with just - vintage beaded handbag. There's been a lot of good answers today. Some do contradict each other but I'm trying a bit more before giving up.
I think the answer is that items such as mine can only be seen easily (at least more than 0/month) if I put more money into it.
Agreed?
Thanks all - I'm yawning and seeing crooked ..................... slap-happy

I'm not sure what the "sorts" and "filters" are?
12-20-2024 12:26 PM
Sorts refers to your chosen sort order of your search results: "Best Match", "Newly Listed", "Ending Soonest", "Distance: Nearest First", etc. Choosing a specific sort order can affect not only the order of the results, but also how many results you see. Notably, the "Price plus shipping: lowest first" sort often provides results that are filtered or "streamlined" by default.
Filters are the options that appear on the left side of the search results, or in some cases, at the top. There are general filters like "Item location" or "Item condition", but also category-specific filters such as "Brand" or "Size".

Thanks.
I actually do know part of that. When I search for products to buy, I often use 'Sorts.'
For example: item, NEW with or without tags or If I've been looking for something for a while, I'll search by Newly Listed.
Thanks for all, Michelle
