My first......

Buyer said they didn't receive, but it shows delivered.  It was only a 1.23 CD + 2.77 Shipping, but no way will I give a refund.  If I did, that's -4.00 (refund) + -2.77 (shipping) + -.45 (fees)= -7.22 (total).  Why should I lose 7.00?  If anything, I'd give a .78 refund.  4.00-2.77-.45=.78.  I asked them to check with their neighbors.

Re: My first......

If tracking shows delivered then you are not obligated to give a refund.   You may need to contact ebay if they file item not received.  Sellers cannot be accountable for how buyers receive their mail.

Items are not scanned delivered until the postal carrier is at the address.

@daddyjaxx

If they file an INR just upload the tracking into the case, and call ebay.

OP might find that it is well worth the $4 not to have to contact ebay!!!

Re: My first......

If you shipped with online viewable tracking then you are covered. If the buyer opens an item not received case then you can upload the tracking into the case then call and ebay will close the case in your favor.

If there is no tracking then you will lose a case. They can check with neighbors or their delivering post office

Re: My first......

I have online tracking, but what stops them from giving negative feedback?

It's not just 4.00.  I also lose the shipping I paid plus the fees.

You won't lose a penny here.  You shipped with tracking, and the tracking states the item was delivered.  That's the end of that.  As explained above, if a case is opened, just put in the tracking number on the package and you're golden.

If the buyer leaves negative feedback, call and ask that it be removed.  Some sellers have reported they've had to call as many as three times to find themselves finally in contact with a CS rep who would actually take care of removing the negative feedback.

If all else fails and you can't get the feedback removed, then leave a followup to it:  USPS tracking shows DELIVERED 6-5-17 at 2:30 pm!!!!!  or something like that.  Other buyers will certainly understand that, and that YOU did nothing wrong here.

Re: My first......

They found the package.  They live on 126th st.  The mailman delivered their mail to the same address on 128th st.  They realized it when they had mail for the other address.  Apparantly someone needs glasses that can't tell 6's from 8's.

Yes. Stuff like this happens often. Having the buyer check around and if need be filing a lost/stolen mail report is the best way to start. Some sellers go on the war path thinking they are getting scammed and tomorrow morning when the item turns up they have a buyer who loves the item and understands it was not the sellers fault but negs them anyway for being a jerk. And those negs stick.
