So I recently sold a Roblox pet for my sister on ebay. Sold it, buyer who paid looked good, so I sold it to them instead of cancelling. Recorded the whole transaction, they messaged me to meetup in game, and it went well. Next thing you know few weeks later ebay says buyer filed a dispute with their bank. I look at their account, and boom flooded by reviews saying that they were a scammer after all. I Provided evidence, ebay claimed it didn’t matter since the buyer filed a chargeback with their payment institution, and my bank account was charged. So, I contacted my bank, signed a Written statement of Unauthorized ACH debit activity, showed my evidence, and signed a Stop Payment Authorization form. I was able to get my money back, but ebay emailed me again yesterday saying my bank account will be charged. Will it go through? Will my account be charged? Will I have my account closed if I don’t allow them to charge me? Idk kind of worried. When I contacted support and even spoke to a "supervisor" all they said they can do is give me a lousy coupon. I feel like ebay really doesn't care about my money and instead are willing to screw me over, possibly take back money that is rightfully mine, side with a scammer, possibly close my account until I pay them, or even worse send my debt to a debt collection agency. I just want to keep my money. Can you guys please help me? What can I do?

Give it up already! Come on -- you goofed up big time in more ways than one, and you think about getting the police involved for $50? Think of what Judge Judy often says to plaintiffs, "Don't come in here if you don't have clean hands".
Swallow hard, learn from this, turn the page, get on with your life, and don't pull any more tricks with digital stuff you don't have the authority over.

I was looking at the transaction right now and it now has an option to mark it as picked up. I marked it as picked up. Would that be an equivalent to a tracking number?? Will this make any difference at all?? Ebay has to have the power to pay back its sellers somehow right? I mean they're raking in boatloads of money off seller fees. What should I do now??
Not without the QR code that's issued for local pick ups.

No.

Look at the feedback you left for them.

@moises305 wrote:They had no bad reviews when I sold them the pet. Why would I say they looked good if they had bad reviews?
@moises305 - You're the one who said the buyer looked good in your OP: "Sold it, buyer who paid looked good, so I sold it to them."
And in case you're unaware, ALL buyers have 100% positive feedback because for the last 14 years, that's all ebay allows for buyers.
ETA: I'm not sure what you recorded for a digital transaction, but you should be aware that ebay doesn't care about nor do they take into account video "evidence."
If it makes you feel better, the buyer is NARU as indicated by the feedback you left for the buyer.

You are okay with screwing Roblox by selling their intellectual property illegally.... BUT expect ebay to make you whole??
LOL that's funny.
Go report that buyer to Roblox

In case you haven’t noticed or read anything I said, maybe in English you will. I had no idea about this whole thing where it’s not allowed. I don’t play Roblox. I (used to) buy my sister some of her pets on here and up until now sold only one of her pets. There are plenty of accounts that do this so I didn’t understand how it’s supposed to be against the TOS. But now, I understand. Hence the reason why I made this thread. Some replies have helped me understand now, while the other smart replies like yours didn’t. But anyways, thanks for commenting.

Everybody has already commented on the digital aspects of this. From my perspective I am glad your bank stood behind you on what amounts to a chargeback against the eBay transaction I am surprised more sellers do not attempt to do this with their bank and basically turn the tables on eBay with regards to chargebacks. As for the rest of it you have not sold a lot of items so your fears of eBay closing your account depends on whether you have a strong desire to continue selling here. If not, if eBay closes your account maybe it's a blessing in disguise. There are other forums and platforms out there to sell on. As for them trying to charge your bank account again talk with your bank. As to whether eBay sends the $50 debt to a collection agency is a question as to how much effort eBay wants to put toward trying to recover $50 and the resources they have to expend to do so.

Wow! Just, wow. Thanks for sharing. Here is a non-fungible $50 for the non-fungible item you lost.

Technically, tracking only proves you sent them "something" of particular weight and dimensions.
Circumstantial evidence. There's not really a whole lot of real proof in any transation on ebay that can be acquired. Lot of trust is required, between the buyer and the seller. It's why there's so much potential for scammers, on both ends.
But it's a gamble that is risked because Ebay has things that can't be gotten elsewhere, or the price is really good.
