So say someone wants to buy something from my Ebay store....the one ebay charges too much for every month. They want to find my store items using the Advanced search. Well, when you type in my store name in the advanced search do you know what comes up????
Nada! Not a thing. Ebay charges me for everything they can possibly think of and yet my store cant be found buy any user using ebays Advanced search.
Why is that???

You found the OP's store? Or you found your own store? Or you found @kensgiftshop's store?I found kensgiftshop. The OP and mine are not found.
Yep. Same here. I can find "kensgiftshop," but not the OP's and not yours.
Time to call in the big guns.
Can you help us figure out the Advanced Search/Find Store results? Thanks!

ebay.com/usr/SELLERNAME
ebay.com/str/STORENAME
That's a great work around, and I'm going to keep those URLs, so thanks for those.
I think the issue here, though, is that the OP would like buyers who are not familiar with those kinds of fixes to be able to find his/her store with the Advanced Search options that at least appear to be available.

Or maybe @Anonymous?

There seems to be a problem with the "Find Stores" search.
I have seen at least two posts recently from new store subscribers that were having difficulty finding their stores in search or hearing from other users that were unable to find their stores. At first I thought the issue had to do with the newness of the store subscription or a recent name change, but the problem seems to be much more widespread than that.
"Find Stores" should search for and find stores that have the search keyword or keywords in the store name, and also find close matches.
If I use that feature to search for pit stop, I see zero store results.
However, if I add a nonsense exclusion term like this:
pit stop -octopus
then I get twelve results which should have been returned with the previous search. This leads me to believe that the problem is related to the "search expansion" feature that provides keyword substitution, since that is disabled when exclusion terms are used.
In fact, "Find Stores" fails to find any results when searching some common keywords that appear in many store names, such as buttons or socks.

Hi @pburn!
I think the issue has to do with the numbers at the end of the OP's id. If I search for 'newjerseypicker' it finds their store, with the numbers attached.
Not sure why it's being so particular about those numbers at the end though, I'll get it reported for review as a possible site issue.

Mine doesn’t have numbers and doesn’t show with the full store name. I typed in the first 4 letters and hit search. It showed up, but the description next to it is cache from when I had my old store years ago. It’s not showing the new description.
I don’t know if that will help with anything, but thought I’d throw it out there.

This has been a problem for months.

Thanks for taking a look at this, Tyler. I'm sure the people who have stores would appreciate it!

I just tried mine and it's not working either. I tried it with no spaces and with. I can get others I tried. I'm sure this isn't the reason for my massive sales slump but this doesn't help my paranoia.

General reply here
I brought this up at the chat yesterday
I am sure many buyers search many different ways but this really should be a Priority for ebay
No matter how one enters a search for a store it should show up
Using 2 different ways to search I find that many stores within this post & chat's post alone do not display.
What are sellers paying for ?
I wish this was a Priority for them
https://www.ebay.com/sns
Cannot find using above link
newjerseypicker08836 Or mcdougle4248 or loveyourimagination49 under Her store name or even my own
The list goes on as I tried many from the chat & checked theirs as well.
If you also try like my screen shot below from Advanced
This brings a lot of No results found to some different results depending on the store name.
Mine will return with results but not in store format , Also Kensgiftshop will return but this seems to only happen if the Store name is the same as the user ID name
No results return for those using different User ID's then store names
Guess we just need to keep an eye on the chat & see if Tyler comes back with updates & if not then we continue to ask for help.

Paranoia? Where's that cool guy that's going to claim it's all in everybody's head? Anytime there's a "glitch" (aka honest truth is -bad programming), AI, or anything that impedes visibility in ways unseen and unexplained it causes a lack of sales for somebody on this site.

I can't even imagine that this isn't a major priority for them & that more store paying customers are not up in arms over this.
I don't want to here from a small few on the boards or ( no disrespect intended) or from Tyler that's not how he searches.
No one can answer for how all shoppers search & these functions should work
I'm just kind of ticked off right now !!!

When I search for my store: monstertoybox it comes up with zero results:
But when I search for my store like this: monster toy box, it's there.
So my question is WHY are they putting in the spaces in the store name when it isn't written like that on my ID??? How would a buyer know that? If I am searching for a store I am going to search for the stores name just like it is on their ID, not try to figure out where the spaces are. This makes absolutely NO SENSE!!! If anything the stores name should come up EITHER way, but definitely not excluding the EXACT way it is in my ID.
