I want to sell two different themes of things, I want to sell fishing supplies and computer accessories but I don't want them to be on the same store because I want each store to be dedicated to one specific theme. So one store is for the fishing supplies and the other for the computer accessories. I don't want them to be mixed in the same account. Is there anyway to separate them under one overall account so I can manage all sales from one account. Or do I have to open two separate accounts. I want to do this while following all eBay guidelines so my account doesn't get banned. Any information is appreciated.

I understand completely. I hate it when my mashed potatoes get mixed in with my corn.
I thought everyone mixed their corn with their mashed potatoes, or is it just me. 😀
They can touch each other ... they just can't be mixed together! 😉

Stores are now invisible to all buyers anyway and except for the 'discount' of Final Value Fees and the possible (over 250) free listings, they have become as valuable as a buggywhip (only way buyers can see your store is to scroll down past 'other items' 'similar items' 'your sponsored items' 'fitment chart' (if selling auto parts), your description and then your feedback and when you've dug down to the other side of the earth...
you will find 'visit store'.

If you want them totally separate, then you would need to set up another selling account.
But keep in mind that on a single account and store, you can set up your categories inside the store to make your different items separate from each other instead of the expense of having two stores.
Also keep in mind that you should not open a store for your account or accounts unless you are going to be running a minimum of 300+ listings every month. If you do, then a Basic store will save you some money. But before that you are wasting money on a store.
Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

When most shoppers go on line looking for stuff they simply type in a description on the search window of what they are looking for - not a store name. Buyers can simply save the sellers screen name if they like to do business or not - mostly shop via the names they can readily recall. eBay, Amazon, Facebook, etc Seems to me you would need to pay for two different stores and burn twice as much $$ . Economically one store with more free listings would be in your best interest = more free listings and some other "bennies" depending on what you wish to spend every month. Getting a store does not mean you will get an extra boost in sales. Your call, your $$

I luv it when my mashed potatoes get mixed up with my veggies, especially small peas and steak - see as a seller ya' need to figure out what buyers want. In your very, very best efforts you will only satisfy 80% of the folks and market share of every day items is very small
Here is one example -
in 2023, Walmart had a number of notable market share achievements, including:

Agree with you 100%. When I sold I shipped 1665 items recall 1 order for 6 items that I sold to a person in a live telecon originally they only wanted 1 item but I was able to put the other 5 in a flat rate box - they saved $ on shipping and paid my listed price. The other order was for two items but 1663 were single unit orders. My wife orders a bunch of stuff on another on line site - mostly single orders, sometimes two - all are w/ free shipping (sorta ya gotta a fixed monthly fee that changes a little every year) and a non nonsense- no yes it is, no its not battles and hurt feelings return policy.

Yeah I've heard that a few times but many customers have told me they found a item they liked by looking through my account for an item similar to the one they have initially seen. That's why I assumed that having multiple usernames would be useful.

Many buyers have told me that they looked in my account to find a product similar to the one they initially saw so that's why I am assuming that it would be helpful to have multiple usernames, do you know if I have to create a new account to get 2 different usernames or is there a way to do it from one.

Yes it's allowed. You can have as many accounts and or stores as you want. Each account requires it's own email address. You will be paying more in fees and it will take longer to build up feedback if it's spread between many accounts.
But yes, it's ok by eBay.

1 account = 1 username
So yes, if you want 2 usernames you will need 2 accounts.
