More proof that Ebay couldn't care less about sellers!

Filed a case because buyer returned wrong item. Ebay found in sellers favor and issued a refund. Sold burgundy leather Dansko clogs. Customer returned vegan clogs. So, after the appeal was denied, I reached out to Ebay via Facebook, with the intention of trying the Twit machine if that failed. Here is the response:

"Thanks for waiting for me to look this over. Before I explain how these returns work I want to let you know that I have appealed the case and closed it in your favor this time because I can see you've been with us a long time and have not had courtesy refunds. Generally, because your are a business seller (meaning you sale more than 100 items a month) we aren't able to cover faulty returns, but in this situation I did make an exception to cover the shoes for you. We do also monitor buyers who do this closely because we don't want it to become a trend. For this case you'll have a full refund within 48 hours. If you have any questions on this let us know, we're here to help you. ~Brittany"

 

My reply:

"Thanks for your help. As a longtime seller, it has become increasingly frustrating selling on Ebay. What, exactly, does "Generally" mean? This case is especially discouraging. Our feedback is extensive and stellar, while the buyer's feedback total is four. What if the buyer had returned a dirty sock? Would Ebay still have refunded the buyer? The utter ridiculousness of this is astonishing. A few weeks ago, we had three auctions in a row end, and ALL of the buyers failed to pay. Again, though, we truly appreciate your help with this. Have a great day."

We did contact the seller. No response(not surprised).

I feel like we have to film ourselves packing up items and writing the labels and going to the post office.

I have actually done that when a buyer makes me overly suspicious.

"Generally" means that seller cases and appeals are on auto decline. They arent even ashamed to admit it. Let me spell it out in terms sellers understand.

We think you make plenty of money selling so much per month that we think you should eat any losses. Since you have never gotten a freebee from us we are going to give you one just this once.
