More INR Fun

I've made a couple of posts about INR cases but new situations mean more pointed questions thus more posts...

To sum up, the buyer opened up INR but has now received their package and signed for it. Ebay told me yesterday to call today to close the case. I called today and rep said "oh I see everything here yes let me close." Rep tells me it's closed and I'm all set and after we hang up I get a message that a case has been opened. Essentially, the type of this case went from "item not received" to "case" and how it's awaiting a decision by eBay. I received the message of:

"Hi xxxxx,
We'd previously contacted you about a case that buyer has asked eBay Customer Service to review and make a final decision.
Until the case is resolved, the case amount will be withheld from future payouts."

I'm very confused because I was being told the case was being closed by the rep but it almost looks like a new case was opened. Either that or the INR was escalated to some type of review by eBay. My funds were also not on hold before this phone call.

Should I call again? Will the 5th time be the charm?

No. They always do that when they're reviewing an INR case - within a few hours you'll (usually) get another email saying the case was closed in your favor and the funds have been released.

When you called about the INR, you opened a case.

I don't know why they do it like that, but it can be confusing.

Have a great day.
