Good morning,
I was in the process of inventory this morning to find there are 25 listings missing from eBay "Manage Active Listing" page. Typing in the listing item returned zero results. The item is sitting on my eBay shelf.
My question is this: Does the eBay algorithms drop inactive listings after X amount of days or months?
Has anyone experienced this issue with their active listings? Can this be verified?
Seems to me, the software should generate a msg to the seller of listings pending drop. Sellers then can refresh listings or allow them to drop. Makes for a messy physical inventory.

Before you declare it missing........be sure it's not in the process of being relisted......i.e. it's fixed price and the 30 days are up............and it's automatically going to be relisted.......

Yes, it does happen.
I usually have a few that come up missing every year.

Any item sitting in "unsold" , so not listed as Active, will drop off after 90 days.
There has been reports of items dropping off that are Active over the years.
I have never had this happen but I did have an item I sold 6 months earlier show up and sell again.
SO I would not be surprised that items that are active disappear.

Sorry for going off topic OP, but messages #6 and #7 ^ are clearly AI generated; not only do they read like bot speak, but the "members'" profiles have not had any other activity besides replying to this post.
What on Earth is going on?

Can you report it for the embedded link? I reported it but missed the link & it won't let me report again. TY. They generally DO remove the ones with the links. Unfortunately, AI replies are allowed but the links, esp if they're hidden links, are generally not okay.
