I get a message from ebay that they are hiding a listing because it offers to sell off of ebay. Of course they do and they don't tell me which listing they are OOOoooooOOOoooo hiding... right! Put on yer big boy pants and tell me what i need to know to fix it okay? I imagine it's about like the message I got Thursday from a long time buyer.... "You didn't ship my book, where is it, ebay said..blah blah blah... so i wrote the sender back and said, Sir, I never sold you a book. I've sold you other things but never, ever a book. He wrote back saying ebay sent the message. HUH? ok, well he's a customer of mine alright and I proceeded to tell him how to file a claim with USPS if he couldn't find the seller. He was nice, i was nice to him... I tried to help. But getting messages about crap I am not involved in ...... is getting old. I mean I sold a guy a set of book shelves, nice ones.... I noted him I had more to buy... he wanted them... now i had his address, his phone number I could have sold them to him and ebay wouldn't have been any the wiser..... did I do that???? NO I did not...two days later I listed them on ebay and sent him a note with the listing number and he bought them. Now EBAY does that sound like someone trying to beat you out of a nickle? jeez sometimes I wonder why I bother... Ya know if you're going to treat me like a crook I might as well start finding ways to be one. That's sad. My bet is your AI overstepped... that's my bet. People aren't that freaking stupid.

My experience I have found AI can be extremely overreaching, completely in the wrong in its assumptions, and overall quite stupid. Put me in the group of people who don't trust AI at all.
That said your messages around those book shelves may have "alerted" some AI bot, my guess.
Not that it's right or fair, you are not wrong, I am simply taking an educated guess as to what might have happened.

I was going to suggest that you could try viewing your listings while not logged in to your selling account to see if you can figure out which one is missing, but right now I see 245 listings for you, so that strategy might be a bit difficult.
One common gotcha that might be your problem here is if you mention a 3rd-party website, such as the manufacturer of an item you're selling. You can embed eBay.com links within descriptions, but not refer to websites elsewhere. Is that a possibility?

I've actually referred to websites elsewhere (without links) without problem - I think it would have to be a URL.

Right, I do mean the manufacturer's website URL, not just mentioning the manufacturer's name itself.

Another common reason is when you copy/paste into the description from another website. You almost always also copy hidden html that can include links.

The information is there you just need to know where to look. Go to your active listings page:

I have this happen on occasion but ebay just says that they are removing the unseen html.
Another thing that can trigger this is 10 digit part numbers that the bots think are phone numbers

That simply isn't true or they didn't block anything.. because I can't see anything being blocked. Interesting enough though I have several items what have watchers that nobody has looked at ? hmmm I dunno, maybe I shouldn't know... and most probably it won't make any difference. Ebay is gonna do what Ebay is gonna do. I just another nobody.

Typical EBAY garbage they send that notice.. then I go to try and figure it all out and it now says you have no items with issues. Really? And they can't be bothered to just send me another email saying they made a mistake? Right... just let me waste a couple of hours trying to find something that isn't there and never was. grrr.. lol I love. ... have a great day

I have never seen any reports of messages like that which did not include the item number and listing title. My guess is that you missed it, which would be easy to do since it is usually at the end of the message.

I FOUND THE PROBLEM.... FINALLY EBAY SENT ANOTHER NOTICE THAT ACTUALLY HAD THE ITEM IDENTIFIED.... AND THE PROBLEM WAS i INCLUDED A ADDRESS TO A REFERENCE MATERIAL PROVING WHAT THE ITEM WAS AND HOW OLD IT WAS... HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING BUT A HELPFUL REFERENCE... SO FROM NO ON,, Mr. Prospective buyer you either take my word for it or go jump... no more helping anyone locate solid proof of what I'm selling when it's a rare item... lol this place is nuts.
