You the seller can see a bidders entire screen name.
Go to ebay messages and contact them there.

You can also go to their Feedback page and select the "Contact Member" link there. (upper right corner of the page)

Would a guest bidder who does not sign up for ebay have that?

Good question. I want to say "Yes" here, because even a guest bidder must have some minimal level of connectivity in order to get the transaction done, so it should be possible to give them a link to the message interface as well, even if they don't have an email address on record with eBay for backup copies of messages to be sent to an outside account.

If true, I would hope instead of just notifying the bidder that they make a revision to the description before other bidders bid and not know about the problem. I definitely hope they are not contacting to do some sort of off site selling.
