Ebay decided to change their product sourcing on August 1st and now the men's activewear is not sourced correctly. If you have listings in this category you may want to go in and change them, however, when you do change the category then all the product identifiers are wiped out. Very time consuming if you have a lot of items listed in this category. Called Ebay and they say they are unaware of the problem. If you search for Nike pants and click on any listing it shows the sourcing to be in men's athletic tops. Another bug to add to the long list of Ebay problems as of late.

Oh my I just went and checked my listings you are correct! This is so out of control, eBay has lost its ability to manage itself. Charging sellers outrageous fees to provide a failing forum.

Same for men's polos. Trying to list a polo and noticed the category was different, was "casual button down shirts." Clicked to change category and none suggested fit. Searched the categories and found the polos category. Many item specifics missing including size, sleeve length and pattern. I can add them but worried they won't show up when buyers are searching and refining search by these criteria. Especially size! And as mentioned above, now have to go back and adjust previous listings??? Not helpful at all!
They did a change to categories, appears all Polos are in the button down category. I did modify mine but lost all my item specifics.
I brought it up at the chat yesterday & there is a post on the tech board as well.
ebay was looking for examples.
Seems you Polo's are under button down as well .

Wow! This is massive and very frustrating. I'm not sure what the goal of Ebay is at this point. Why implement changes so often that are faulty? It costs them, as well as every seller and buyer, money. Careless. I noticed a significant drop in sales starting yesterday. And yesterday was the change. I'm assuming the drop will continue until they can figure out sourcing. Buyers will just become frustrated because what they are searching for is not bringing up the proper items.

I wonder if there is REALLY, any way posssible, that a multi-billion dollar corp. can have programmers and IT - third party or domestic or foreign - that are so inept or 'unaware' of what they are doing or of what they are SUPPOSED to be doing? And, then, on top of that, have absolutely NO oversight or qualified QA or review to prevent these glitches that CONTINUALLY come down the line.
How is it even possible that it could be accidental? Or, have 'Industry Standards' fallen so low that nobody notices?

as of 5.30pm Eastern, the problem is still not resolved for me in men's activewear listing category, i am unable to relist items due to the Sub Style category asking for a desciption and value! Please add us to the ticket in order so that we can possibly relist items, had no sales now for 2 days since this rolled out!
