Re: Memorial Day

And for those who placed American flags on the graves of military members, we thank you.

Many of the graves are untended with grass and weeds growing over flat markers, those who took their gardening tools to cemetery's and spent hours clearing grave markers deserve an extra special thank you.

@silverstatetreasureboxes

Thank you.  Had not heard that song before.  We did not intern at Arlington, even though he put a civie job at Andrews AFB on hold to re-up and head to Afghanistan and could have.  My brother was a pretty ordinary guy and very low ranking in the AF, even with 3 tours.  Your nephew was a GB, a national hero.

We buried my brother at home.  He loved serving as thousands upon thousands do/did.. But very ordinary.

Many men and women came home, forever changed and while they did not perish in combat, a piece of them surely did.

Thank you for sharing the song.  Went to put our flag out today, but it had a small hole, so we took it down.  Need to get a new flag very soon.

Drove around today and saw so many flags!  Was great to see!
