When I search for a framed print someone will say something like, "Framed Print 12x10", and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if that is the frame or the item inside the frame, and also which do you feel is more important to provide in the title/description the frame dimensions or the print dimensions? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I've wondered it for a while and I'm uncomfortable posting my framed prints for sale at the risk of appearing more ignorant than I am. Thank you in advance.

I put the frame size in the title If there's room in the title, I state "Frame Size"
Then, in the description, I repeat that it's the frame size and also give the painting size.
They're both important to mention (unless you've never had it out of the frame) then you don't need to and can't if the back is sealed.

In all of my listings I include (just an example)
9 1/4" x 7 5/8" for 7" x 5" picture
That way there is no confusion. I believe that people look for frames for pictures they already have. They know the size of the picture. The size of the frame by itself is useless because of the differences in the width of the frame rails.

I agree. It's very annoying when people list the frame size. At least give us the dimensions of the inner frame so we know what size painting will fit inside it. When you buy a frame, it always says the size of the image that fits inside, not the size of the frame because that is useless.
