Maybe I don't understand seller level

I have been stuck with a below standard seller level for the last 3 months because they keep reusing the "cases closed without resolution" metric from September.  Am I just stuck at Below Standard forever because of Setember's metrics?

We evaluate your performance every month. The length of time we look at in each evaluation depends on how many recent transactions you've had. If you've had 400 or more transactions in the last three months, you're evaluated over that three-month period. If you've had fewer than 400 transactions in the last three months, you're evaluated on the past 12 months

You can always pad your numbers by finding some low risk items that sell fast. I wouldn't recommend fighting cases because you will always lose.

Re: Maybe I don't understand seller level

You should visit your Dashboard at least once a week.  There you will find the various sections in which Ebay evals ALL sellers on EVERY 20th of the month for the period ending the previous full month.  So the eval we had on November 20th was for the period ending October 31st.

Sellers with 400+ transaction in the previous 90 day period are eval'd on the previous 90 days.  For all sellers that have less transactions, they are eval'd on the previous 12 month period.

If you visit your Dashboard regularly you can see what areas you may be getting into trouble with and possibly turn it around before you get dropped to below standard.  There are detail reports you can get in the Dashboard to tell you exactly which transactions caused the issues.

There are only two ways to work yourself out of the Below Standard status and hence the penalty fees of 5%.  Number one [the most important one] UP YOUR GAME.  Improve your customer service, how you respond to your buyers and how quickly you respond.  And your descriptions.

Your FB tells you some areas in which you could improve which will in turn help you to improve your numbers in which Ebay evals you on.

Secondly you need more good clean transactions.  You need to dilute your numbers.  The way to do that is with more transactions.

It appears to me that you may be drop shipping.  If that is correct, you need to make an adjustment in those listings.  The location stated in your listings is not suppose to be your location unless that is the location they are shipping from.  So for those items you are drop shipping it should be the city and state of your dropshipper, not yours.  That is an Ebay policy, so you will want to correct that ASAP so you don't get dinged for that with a policy violation.

Wait the penalty is 5%? 😮 I thought it was 4% for some reason.
