Markdown manager problem

Today I wanted to put the same items I had on sale last month so I started editing my old markdowns

I activated 2 sales but when I went to do another it say you can only put 250 items on sale ?

Why ?

I need money my dog and I both had surgery and I need to mark stuff down to pay for our medical bills

Another ebay glitch or they dont want to sell at a lower price to make more commison

I dont know but I really need sales ........insert sad face here

Limits to sales in Markdown Manager

Sales in Markdown Manager are limited in these ways:

  • The number of listings you can change in one day is 250 for Basic Stores, 2,500 for Premium Stores, and 5,000 for Anchor Stores. Changes include scheduling, editing, or adding listings to a sale.

  • A price or free shipping sale on a fixed price listing can be 1 to 45 days.

  • Free shipping sales on auction-style listings are valid until the listing ends.

  • A listing can only be in one active sale at a time, but a listing can exist in multiple scheduled and inactive sales. There must be at least 2 days between sales for a particular listing.

Great! 45.8% down over the same time last year with 2x+ items listed. Are you impressed? I'm certainly not!

I think you have to wait 24 hours to put more stuff on markdown. I've only run across this 250 items message when I made a hot mess of some sales and removed items from one sale and tried to start another. I waited, and things went fine. I've also run into problems trying to edit old markdowns, so I no longer do that, but start fresh every time.

Déjà Moo: The strange feeling that I've heard this bull before...

Thank you I see now because a was lowered to a basic store

Ebay seems to be their own worst eney sometimes

(lowered to basic because I would not let 4 people steal from me in one year )

I sure miss the 60-80 orders per day ah the good ol days

Create two identical simultaneous sales and then you can list 500, you can have as many sales running at one time as you like

I have not run into a problem running the MM sales on consecutive days. Say, within 26 hours. Perhaps they don't inforce this and have not changed the documentation?

Exactly! that's waht I'm saying too! It looks fancy but it isn't easier and it doesn't see all my listings. Kinda annoying! Same thing happening to the Ebay app on Ipad, it keeps crashing and it does wierd stuff. Oh how easy it was a year ago or so...

Why (for heaven's sake) are there rules on putting sales in your stores?  Totally confused...

If anybody can logically answer this question, I'll be hitting follow button on their user id.

This could be the end for me an Ebay...I swear Ebay is actively at war with their sellers the people who make them money.  How can they every several months create new insane policies that do nothing but make the people who make them the money lives impossible.  First you lower top rated discount fees to 5%...why even bother...So for hard work you are now punished this must be a california principle....Now to be a top rated seller you have to offer 30 free returns...Hey Ebay most of your sellers on here Aret walmart or Target...Do you get that???  We dont have billions of $ to eat endless returns from fickle idiot buyers who are often scammers as well. Now this crazy policy of of items need to be listed at same price for 14 days.  Did you ever think what if a competitor puts items on sale...WEll guess what then you have to put items on sale.  Get these just out college kids out of eBay or who where ever you are getting people that have no idea about biz out of the decision making process...There is no way idiots with MBAS who have never lived in the real world can be coming up with this garbage...

How did people sit down in a Room and think of how any of these policies makes anything better for the Sellers who make you money?????????  Why do i even have to waste my time typing this. Do you people even read what people are actually saying about Ebay. Ebay is just a theiving corp now out to steal as much money as it can from the sellers till the sellers have to give up....You can see their biz model its not to mazimize selling its to maximize their own profit that why they dropped top rated seller discount from 10% to 5%.  When is it ever beneficial to punish those that do most of the work...Commie Cali needs new workers at Ebay....
