How can we all get the folks at corporate to stop the "Skipped Price" train from running off the tracks? Markdown Manager is now a disaster for us sellers who love giving our buyers a sale. Was it broken? Is "Skipped Price" the fix?

In my case I am listing at MSRP, then discounting. This should be legit, but now I can't do the discounts I need.
If I list at MSRP, no-one will buy. If I list below MSRP the manufacturer won't honor the warranty. So this change totally screwed me. Guess I won't have any sales for 14 days since the item was revised- which means ebay won't get their cut as well.
There has to be a way to have MSRP with a discount, perhaps by linking to UPC. I know ebay is switching to a "catalog" system to group identical items, so there's a chance things will improve- but more than likely things will get worse!!
As far as the FVF charged on shipping, it would be easy to not charge that since the labels are purchased on ebay. In the end, ebay's greed hurts the sellers- but if the sellers get too maimed, it's only going to hurt ebay as sellers must sell elsewhere...

The update is slightly better.. but I still think 14 days is a bit long. 7 would be more reasonable IMO.
If enough people continue to call eBay and voice their concern - they may alter the new policy further.

I just found a great "work-around" for this problem, I listed my item (vintage guitar) elsewhere and promptly sold it there instead. HELLO, is anybody at Ebay listening! Waiting 14 days does not make price Markdowns more legitimate and does not protect consumers, wakeup ebay corporate dunces.

I see this issue is still unresolved. In business it is never prefered to lower one's price, it is much better to show the MSRP and discount off of it. If you lower your selling price this drags the whole market down price. whole market goes down mean less fees for ebay.

Did you ever list at the MSRP. If not, Then you cannot discount from that price and use it as the percentage off for your supposed sale.
That is what ebay is trying to stop because it is ILLEGAL.

I’m also having the same issue and spoke to ebay and they were no help. Has anyone been able to fix this?

They told me two weeks ago had to wait 14 days, well it is now day 17 and my mark downs still have not taken place. Now I am thinking about looking elsewhere to sell my inventory, do not know what to do at this point.

You cannot lead a buyer to think he is getting a better deal than he actually is.

Thanks, it had that sound of a local ( CA state ) law applied to the universe by eBay. It's certainly not the first time for them, I've always doubted that an actual lawyer weighs in on such eBay decisions.
How would eBay even know the current MSRP for most things?
Thing is, we have an item that is listed at MSRP that came off a discount and is now skipped for price. Stranger, it was the only one in the expired sale that was so skipped. We copied the expired sale to create the new one. This supports at best a buggy implementation of their "14 day" rule.
