Markdown Manager Now Officially NonExistant

Good Morning Fellow Sellers - I just got off the phone with ebay - my question got transferred only one time this time. What I asked was this:

"Is Markdown Manager broken?"

Not sure how many of you use it but I use it on this ID all the time. This morning I relisted a few sold items to the store.  I currently have an active sale going on.

Markdown manager when I went in didn't even show my active sale.

So I called and this is what they told me.

"You can no longer add new items to an existing sale"

Huh? are you sure?

"Yes that option is now no longer available"

Are you telling me that if I add a new item I have to now go in an create an item specific sale for each and every new item I list???

"Yes I am so sorry but that is how it works now"

Are you kidding me???

"Yes I am so sorry"

Okie dokie - off to start listing items in my own website - thank you - have a great day

Re: Markdown Manager Now Officially NonExistant

The new tool lacks features & functionaility, has too many detrimental restrictions, is messy to manage and the old tool was easier & less time consuming - Ebay thinks the new tool is easier because it has 'fancy wizard styles and graphics' to cater to onboard new and inexperienced sellers.

So what about the technical roadblocks with the new tool? There are game changing issues with the new tool and any threads about it just get buried with nothing being done to address the root causes. So here we are with nothing being fixed, problems ignored, feedback not listened to, workarounds are killed and what functions is being intentionally broken.

"BUT i have learned how to use this version "

well there's an interesting statement

why do we have to learn anything new if the old format works just fine.

Re: Markdown Manager Now Officially NonExistant

I may be missing something, but when I tried to use the promotions link to have a sale, the lower price did not appear in the search results. I checked the page and found a "5% off" option, but how does that help draw in traffic if buyers only see it once they're already there?
