In the 2018 Summer Seller Update, we announced new changes to requirements for creating a markdown sale event that went into effect on June 25, 2018. We listened to your feedback and have made a change to these markdown sale requirements. Sellers can now add items to a markdown sale event even if the listing was previously in another sale event within the past 14 days as long as the listing price has not been changed.
As usual I don't understand ebay......... SO if you can add the item even if it's been on sale in the last 14 days with no price change.......doesn't that mean the 14 days is no longer applicable?

ebay used to be decent and somewhat user friendly to sellers. But now, it appears, that idiots have been allowed to take over and ruin a good thing

that is not true...I put my items as Good Til Cancel and and they just ended. I relisted all items and still cannot put on sale for 14 days. What a crock of S*%#

Why would your GTC items end? sold out? Yes, if you relist them they are treated as new and you have to wait........the waiver is for GTC's that automatically rollover.....

For information: I'm now seeing a column on the chose listing page for markdown manger that shows the "number of days" on site....which will help in figuring out which items can be (and will be) put on sale.

So ebay did listen and respond to that gripe.....

Yesterday I put about 500 items on sale to find out that only about 200 qualified.
Funny thing is that items that are in the same categories, listed at the same time and always edited at the same time I.E. price drops or sales were randomly selected for the sale. One category had 27 items and eBay only allowed 6 to be put on sale. WHY?
I have not changed the price on any of the 500 items in the last month. ALL are older listing I'm trying to blow out. So again why were items seemingly selected at random?
And furthermore, why is eBay micromanaging my store? Don't I pay them a fee to have it? Why can't I put anything on sale when I want to?
