Check out this thread - it seems that other people are having the same problem. I was going to redo mine - but I think I'll hold off until it is fixed.

did you set the start time to "immediately"? I set a markdown sale the other day had no issues but some people forget to set the immediately as start and if in that case it will say "processing" until reaches the start day/time.

I haven't seen sell-through numbers on the promotions manager page for a few weeks now- maybe months? The promotions display 0 sold even when they were successful.

It's been taking a couple of hours or more to have a markdown manager sale go live the past few months and that time has slowly increased. Maybe there is a lot of traffic due to their Crash Sale or (I'm not techy) have server been changed up to provide more coverage to the items involved in the crash sale and so other processes are taking longer?

I'm not sure that the problems other describe is site wide or not as I did not have any of those issues setting up my markdown sale.

I would go to the markdown screen and click on Edit the sale.  Look at it very closely and make sure the date to start and finish are the dates you want them to be and check the time to start.  It is so easy to make a mistake in this area.  I know I've certainly done it a few times.

Also look to see if your sale is showing as active.  If it is and your listings are showing the sale.  You certainly are one of those such as others have described to be having a problem with the program.

BTW when I view your listings I do see a 5% off sale on some of your items.

not on my end I've done two markdown sales since end of June, takes about 3 min to process.. at least for me, there could be something going on in the system today, idk, but i never had issue with it.

This really could be a combination of things.  It is possible that Ebay does have an issue that is not affecting all sellers but is more isolated.  It is possible that some of the sellers that are having issues made a mistake when they set up the listing.  I tend to think that the sellers coming to the threads share a combination of those two situations.  Some being pilot error and some being something going on with the system.

When there are issues with the system, it isn't always site wide.

I set mine to launch "immediately" a little over 2.5 hr ago.  It did go from Pending to Processing, but still nothing is on sale.

I did mean to set it up last night, but forgot.  I wonder if there I a large influx of sellers doing the same today which has cause the slow down.

It could be the sheer volume.  If that is true, one can only hope it means there are more shoppers out there than is normal too.  I know my sales is up a bit.  Nothing to get excited about, but it is better than normal for this time of year.

Wow wish mine happened that fast  - it's at least 2 hours and most of mine are started in around 4-5am

My experience- the fewer items in a promotion, the faster it processes- the more items, the longer it takes. When I start a promo between 3-8:00 pm it can take a little longer regardless of the number of items.

You're not crazy Smiley Wink, I've noticed the slow down the past few months as well, particularly on Fridays (could be a lot of people starting promotions at that time to run through the weekend).  It could also have to do with the number of items you are working with.  It is definitely slower for me when I am doing a promotion with hundreds of items vs a dozen or so.

I've gotten to the point where I try to give myself a few extra hours when working with promotions manager and just accept that the promotion probably won't be live at the exact second it is scheduled for or that "start immediately" realistically means "sometime in the next few hours".
