Many views but no watchers

This is a classic issue. The last thread on this expired but had several replies which many could all still benefit from- it’s worth keeping this discussion going.

Please comment. What has worked for you to turn viewers into buyers in this case?

Lower prices. The tried and true way to increase sales.  Keep in mind, not all lookers will ever be buyers. People often look at items when shopping that they don't intend to buy.

Truthfully, what's working now is I'm listing everything I can everywhere I can.  And what does not sell is being moved (I'm on multiple sites, obviously) or the price is dropped on the relist.

I include 20% off cards on most purchases with all my store names on them and I'm making deals left and right.  And I'm selling-Eight packages going out today so far plus four more ending today with bids just on eBay.

it's like if you search with google when you see an information it will show up other related things that may need to be found out and so on, it's normal to have views without making a purchase

I'd rather not have all these creepy stalkers peeping in on me anyway.

Honestly, watchers don't matter. It's the sales that do. Perhaps take @simba6's advice and mix it with  @divwido's advice and you get your solution.

Lower prices, give great deals, list everywhere, and list all the time.

Good luck!

First thing you need to realize is that neither viewers nor watchers are necessarily going the transform into buyers.

For instance, every time anyone looks at your listing, that's a "view", means nothing. Sometimes when someone comes here with an issue, we need to look at the involved listing to offer help.   And I don't know the exact percentage here, but lots of watchers are other sellers who have the same item and want to see what price you get for yours so they can decide whether or not to list theirs.  Can't picture there being a magic wand to turn either watchers or viewers into buyers.

@babacruz

Why are you using a reserve on your auctions?

That's a turn off for a lot of buyers and you have to pay a fee for using it even if the item doesn't sell.

For normal every day items, list them as a fixed price so they don't have to wait so long to buy them.

Have a great day.

My comment.......

You must really like giving eBay money and especially when you don't even get any watchers!

Do you understand how much the Reserve Fee is costing you? Do you understand that it's literally killing your sales?
