Who all disagrees with the non-optional managed payments by E-bay. Why can't we choose to have things stay the same. My bank account information should not have to be shared with E-bay. There are too many opportunities for that info to be hacked into (and we hear about that happening all the time.) I already have it shared with Paypal--and I trust them more than most.

You can't choose because Ebay wasn't able to choose. PP did not want extend a new contract. So, this is what they offer and therefore what we have.
Note that many selling websites are going to their 'own' payment systems.

^...ever since the 2015 split, things have been on edge between eBay and PayPal.

What a bunch of **bleep**. eBay and PayPal could've easily worked out the differences they are both major corporations and corporations work things things out all the time. eBay did not want to work it out, this way they could collect all transaction fees for their own bottom line. This in no way is helping sellers at all I'm seeing one complaint after another that MP is a total disaster. Not for me.
A fellow seller is now waiting five days for payment on a $100 item is sold.
EBay please give sellers choices

eBay didn't give us a choice of using PayPal, so why would you think they'd give a choice on whether to switch to Adyen.

Paypal is now valued at three times the amount of eBay - I have a feeling that even if there WAS negotiation, Paypal would have the whip hand and we may end up with the same deal we have now with eBay using Adyen and processing payments - i.e., no free little advance loans while the payment is being processed, but instead delayed payments, direct checking account deposit, etc. only with Paypal. eBay needs Paypal more than Paypal needs eBay. I understand that at least Paypal is familiar and already trusted - I'd be fine with it either way (Paypal under different conditions or MP - doesn't matter, just send me the $$).
I'm just glad buyers can still use Paypal to purchase - granted, many people don't use Paypal and we can catch those buyers now with mobile/alternate payments, but if Paypal disappeared altogether from payment options, now THAT would be a big problem. So hope for a renewal of the contract for 2023.

My issue is they don't seem organized with it and that makes me nervous about mistakes & unsecure transactions etc..
I got the threat to sign up now or else, clicked the link and it said: "we're not ready for you yet, we'll let you know". So threaten me but you're "not ready"? Really?
Week later I tried again; I was able to sign up & add all the info, got the email: "You're all good, eBay is now managing your payments" with a demand to add a bank account!! Seriously? I had just added my bank account. I went to my selling page and yep, bank account is there..
This seems rather disconnected & I'm a little concerned over all of it..

eBay 40.51B - Paypal 295.49B
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Would it really surprise anyone that once everyone is assimilated into MP, and there's no more data left to collect, that Paypal once again becomes an option?

eBay - NOT stellar when it come to communications. 😖
Etsy went through this exact same scenario and after everyone had been transferred to Etsy Payments and Paypal stand-alone went away, Paypal did not come back as an option for sellers. But who knows.

I like my funds going to my checking account without having to transfer them from Pay Pal.
Not having a monthly invoice to pay is nice also.
With anything new, you're going to get complaints from some and most that are complaining are not even in MP yet.
As far as waiting 5 days for the funds to hit your checking account, that's not a big deal

Who cares of we agree or disagree? It's not up for discussion. Use it or leave.

Etsy does this same payment method. They started it last year, so I pulled away from them, and now ebay is doing the same. I disagree with it all.

They've been using the program for a few years now.

In fact, they had this as a payment method back when I started selling in late 2015 - it was called 'direct checkout' and I signed up for it right away because I saw that it had more methods for buyers to pay than just Paypal, which I figured would be a good thing. They ran it concurrently with stand-alone Paypal shops for some years, then dropped Paypal several years ago - about 50,000 shops closed but apparently it made no difference.
I stopped selling on Etsy, also, but for other reasons than their payment system - mostly the current CEO's policies which I did not agree with, and the success penalty which I find ridiculous.
That's why I understand when people decide they don't want to go along with something, as long as they know the facts about it.

That makes no sense.
Why is it really that you don't want the money you've earned?
If you are so overstuffed with cash that it is beneath you to take more, I would be happy to assist you in alleviating that burden.
